Love the compact size and the digital features of the saw. I'd buy one tomorrow if it had just one more feature ... SawStop or similar.

just keep your fingers out of the blade ! I do like saw stop table saws just because it eliminates the possibility of serious injury but I have been using table saws daily for 27 years and (knock on wood) have never once been cut. keeping a little fear /anxiety about getting cut is what keeps me safe I think, every time I turnt he saw on I feel just a little bit of fear and am very aware of what can happen so I do not take risks, with a saw stop I see people doing more risky things , cutting way way too fast and way too close to their fingers, dropping material down onto the bead with their hand ahead of the blade ect....stuff I would never do..I cant help but think if they ever are on a regular saw they are more likely to be injured due to being dumbed down by that safety feature.my thinking on it is if there is any level of chance involved in a cut it is not a cut I will make.

@@AsTheWheelsTurn Perhaps, but with my luck ... I'd rather play it safe being a part-time amateur woodworker. I'm sure that feature or a similar feature will eventually make it to most table saws like seatbelts did for cars. In the meantime, I can't do too much damage with my TS55.

this would be very useful for me as a cabinet installer, I cut a lot of fairly narrow stock, fillers and trim peices and often need to cut very very accurate angles, I do have to cut wider things pretty often as well but the table saw I currently use only goes to 24"and I don't want to lug around anything bigger than that saw so I end up using a circular saw with a guide quite a bit which is slow going but works...I recently purchased a Festool track saw and it is a game changer, I can tackle full sheets of material very accurately and without trying to feed a huge sheet thru a table saw, I wish I had bought it years ago . This table saw is pricy but seems worth it to me.I have already gotten the comments from other guys like "oh you're a festfool now eh?" and just negative talk overall about owning the Festool dust extractor , sander and track saw, so far that is all I have for this brand but am 100% converted ! I have noticed these same guys that talk crap tend to be total hacks who could never even do the the of work I do so ultimately it just makes me want to buy more lol all I know is I make money with my tools and I was immediately won over by this brand. everything about it is excellent, I don't buy tools to "flex" or make myself look good I buy them because I like to do good work and anything that makes it easier and faster and more accurate is a winner for me.

What’s interesting is Festool acquired SawStop 6 years ago, but didn’t implement the safety feature in this saw. Maybe they’ve licensed the feature to some of the larger commercial cabinet saws I’ve seen in the wild? I wish this saw was a bit larger but I can see the niche it fills since trying to rip a small piece of trim using their track saw is doable, but slow to setup and cumbersome.

Hi Ron, this table saw deserves a closer look. I've been enjoying the precision for half a year now. With 4 batteries, no time limits. With a longer supported stop, larger cabinets were no problem. Try and smile ;)

More, more, more! Great job. Is there any chance of getting that miter gauge for the CTS?!

I like this saw. I've seen it before from many UK videos. I could see this working in my small shop. I would just build a cabinet/work surface to extend the capacity. What I can't believe is why didn''t Festool provide an ac adaptor??? The only Festool I own is a midi extractor. I'd hate to spend the full price for this with 2 batterers.

How would you use this saw in a cradle attached to one of your benches, given the need for clearance for the sliding table?

every time i look at this tool it ticks all the boxes for me, its just that 90% i would be using it in my back yard so option to have a corded connector would suit me best damn shame festool havent added that option

I see this as a saw for stringed instrument makers. Small material, sliding table , easily stored for those with smaller shops.

@@ltandrepants Please do not imply I was attempting to "disparage the guy". Why misinterpret as you, yourself, have just done ? Why is there always some guy like you? In brief I was urging him to do it. If you have a goal and determination, you can do anything. Further I would suggest a book that is "the simple truth behind extraordinary results".. " The ONE THING' by Gary Keller. Available on line, or at the library, Or I'll send him a copy. You seem to need attention so you can have the last word.
