Went to the web site, no sales pitch there. Why would one want smart casters over others. What makes them smart etc... You might want to out that up, so people know WHY they want your castes versus other ones.

I ordered and download the Paulk Smart Kart (PSK) on June 6th and ordered and download the Paulk Smart Kart (PSK2) after ordering R8 Smart Casters from Bob at Bennington Manufacturing on June 14th. Chris sent me an updated plan for the PSK2 on June 15th, is this the latest and greatest revision that you mentioned in your "Get Ready to Roll: R8 Smart Casters Available Now" video? I am looking forward to the build video.

I ordered my Paulk Smart Bench from Repardise on May 12, 2024 and was surprised that it was delivered on May 17th (although I missed the delivery and was delivered on May 20th). I was surprised that the Paulk Smart Bench package was labeled "Made in China" , based on your comment that the bench is made in the same factory as the ulralight plywood, it to is "Made in China". The fit and finish was excellent, the only comment is that the outer layers are very thin and you have to be careful in sanding.

I love this for the flexibility it provides, even if you don't need mobility. It looks like the center of the router bit is about 9.5" from the front of the table. Ron, has this been sufficient for wider panels, or do you do those elsewhere? Has anyone put the router further back and cantilevered out a bit further - maybe just 96 mm more?

Did you previously say you're selling the Florida fixer before finishing it? Are you still working on it? Where are you going? I'd like to use the new casters, but I've already cut out the shapes for PSK1 and I bought one set of casters for PSK1. I wonder if the pieces I cut out already would allow me to change them to the PSK2? I just cut the rectangle sizes and none of the detailing yet.

I think the patterns could sell because they cut a lot of work down, and they would be cheaper to sell to more distant addresses than the finished bench parts. ALSO, I had a tiny accident with my bench (I run carts on some machines, but not on the bench. I need to put the bench away). The result was I blew up the spreader. I had the patterns and made another one. If you get a bench kit, you don't have the means to replace parts as easily as if you have the patterns. For this reason, the bench patterns might sell to some who are actually getting the kit. HOWEVER. You have to think your actual needs through. Say you go for the new cart system, or the old one it replaces, then you don't need the cool spreader, so no pattern there. The least useful pattern is the one the cuts the holes into the bottom of the bench (it was off very slightly, even though I checked all my measurements. It would be faster to just throw the bench on the horses, in the cart, and trace the location and cut the sockets, that to make a pattern for it. So at the end of the day, the only bench plan pattern that was worth it for me (i built them all anyway) was the one for the saw horses, but if you aren't using a spreader, that becomes a very simple task. The spreader has to fit the horses like a lock in a key. But without that, using either straps or the Kart, you only have the simple outline to do for the saw horses . That was the easiest pattern to make, just a bunch of plunge cuts. Or if you aren't into trim, you might prefer a different outline ever, for framing, or a cheaper one. In an earlier bench, Ron even used the first panel for a saw horse to cut out the other three, it was the pattern. If you did that you would want to run the template guides, then run a trim router where there are contact points like the toes, to get everything identical. If you did that you would eliminate all the problems Ron associates with bearings. Pretty hard to blow a full depth 1/16" trim with a bearing system, when the part has already been punched out. The pattern I use the most is the one for the drawers. Mine is set up so that it doubles as the pattern for the cubbies I just offset it 2 inches and it spaces all my slots. I have made 3 shop cabinets, and 3 cubbies with more on the way

@@tacticalskiffs8134 It would harm the business model. Simply because mass production would start off everywhere and ruin the Business Model. To keep the Business alive it must be done this way. The tool manufacturer tells their customers to slot AA batteries deep into the internals of an $800 tool knowing that it's going to have the batteries left in it till they're dead and knowing how bad modern AA batteries are at leaking. They could have put the AA's somewhere less detrimental, they could have used a sealed battery. When he sent it back to the manufacturer they tell him it can't be fixed. That's bogus and it's not the fault of the end user.
