Gel has its use where you can't necessarily remove and dip, and for rust on a panel. The gel makes it stay put and not run down the panel.

Used the black bottle Fertan last week and looks like it works as advertised. Removed the loose surface rust and applied it with a new brush. Let it sit for two days and washed it off with a hose. You can clearly see the converted ex-rust spots. Will paint the places and see how long it holds this winter.

Great review, Kyle.👍 I'm not sure if the name brand was Fertan (maybe it was), but a friend of mine used the rust converter on an old 5' x 8' trailer and worked like a champ. Easier and less messy than sand blasting, and the end result was pretty nice. Thanks again.✌

Yeah me too. I just busted my hump last month on my rotors and spidals. Have to look into that. Looks good. Great actual in the acid bath. I wonder if it would be good for a set of 4 caburators bolted next to each other for a street bike build I got going on?

LOL, you mix chemicals like I do. I'm impressed how the rust remover worked. To bad I'd have to use the bathtub for the Dana 60 axles. I've tried rust converter once, it actually worked pretty good, except for where there was heavy scale. Aerosol paint adhered to it good. Wondering what are peoples thoughts on soaking rags with rust remover, and wrapping them around the axle. It would save me from chipping the bathtub :)

The gel works best when used with scotch-brite, don't need to really scrub hard but it works better to loosen it up and work the gel into it better/ haven't used this brand but have used others/ and the key is to NOT let the gel dry out because if it does it is a lot harder to clean up
