This Super 8 sound cine film, taken over 40 years ago, features electric tramcars running on the Ferrymead Heritage Tramway in Christchurch, New Zealand, being restored and operated by the Tramway Historical Society.
Featured are former Dunedin City Tramways "California Combination" tram car No 22 built by J.G. Brill & Co. of Philadelphia, U.S.A. in 1903, and former Christchurch Tramways "Boon class" tramcar built in 1910 by Boon & Co. Ltd of Christchurch, New Zealand.
These two trams are shown running between the Ferrrymead Tramstop (which includes elements of the former Cathedral Square Waiting Shelter originally built in 1907) and the Ferrymead Heritage Park Township.
