Love this, thanks! Probably instead of jars I would use 2 or 3" PVC pipe cut transversally in a half-moon shape and screwed to the arms. Since the weight always keep the arm in the same position the opening will always be in front and screws won't fall. One can make divisions so on a single pipe you may store a lot different sizes, sound good! :D

yes but, You can take a jar to your work project

This is a good idea, specially when you use this near the kitchen.Instead of screws,you can put spices in different jars like pepper,rosemary etc. and you can see them immediately in addition to the cool wheel, a nice piece in the kitchen area 👍

Я думал будет что-то типа вечного двигателя. Но в мастерской это не катит, лучше уж в ящике пусть всё лежит. Если кухня большая, можно на кухню под специи. Но за работу по любому класс👍

First things first, this is a nice build, and a creative solution geared toward accessibility. Downside, the square footage used by this device far exceeds the space needed to store and access so few parts. Containers of screws or other items could easily be pulled out of bins and placed within reach of the project. If the goal is long term storage rather than immediate access, then the spacial trade off becomes even more lopsided.

really awesome idea of sticking the cover of the jar so that there is no easier mechanism that can be used to release the jar , what I don't like is that he didn't use a bearing on the shaft so that the rotation be very smooth

Knowing my luck I would knock the jars off the workbench, leaving me to clean up not only a bunch of screws but glass shards as well. Neat design, if unbreakable containers were used.

You could make it a little bigger and make small wooden boxes instead of using jars. I was thinking, in my case, I'd hold small poly-containers to the rig using strong magnets.

По мне так полная уйня. Проще крышки к низу полок прикрутить. А так перевешивает в одну сторону, где вес поболе. Неудобно ИМХО

Simple ways to address this: - Instead of two jars per arm, use a wider arm and put three. - Extend the arms length and you can use taller jars. - Use wider jars. For common woodworking most people use a few lengths screws only. This is more than enough for it. Unless one is planning to store every single screw they have around which is not the intention of this device.

you can easily add something will only allow the whee to spin in one direction, to hold the wheel in position so it won't roll back due to gravity, and you don't have to roll it down again to screw the jar back.
