Ferreting on the Yorkshire hills part 2

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Simon and Shaun return to Yorkshire to have a days ferreting. The weather has been kinder but the mist and wind still blows. Watch as Ronnie and Reggie, Simon's Hobs, make light work of rounding up and bolting these Yorkshire rabbits. Tawny is on hand to provide the athleticism to course and catch the rabbits in between Simon laying some purse nets with Shaun where he deemed it too dangerous for a free running lurcher on this occasion.
At the end of the day Shaun and Simon harvested a respectable bag, had a fantastic experience and the animals worked well. Tawny's journey continues and Ronnie and Reggie enjoyed working the smaller warrens of the hills.

Your videos are atmospheric and quite nostalgic to watch - a great setting, a couldn't be better dog and suitable music at a suitable volume that adds rather than detracts from the overall effect. I live on the other side of the globe but the nostalgia comes from having read and admired James Herriot's tales, the scenery perfectly matches those.

That double bolt at 5.04 was handled perfect by the dog. It knew the one in the net was going nowhere. A pleasure watching.

The number of rabbits is so high that it will hurt agriculture seriously. I am very grateful to have a detailed video of the wonderful country landscape of England and rabbit hunting. The rabbit hunting of ferrets and hunting combinations is perfect.

Love this. I was fortunate to have a day out with Gary Hosker. Exactly same methods. We caught app. 35 rabbits with his superb dog, Spud. This was also in Yorkshire about 20yrs.ago. I still write to Gary who now lives in the States. He is hunting feral pigs and bear now. I now live in Thailand---no hunting except rats and large water monitors with my dog. I don't actually hunt the monitors, my dog finds them. They are 6 foot long and more.
