Ferreting on the wet moors of North Yorkshire
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Simon, Shaun, Torchie, Lee and Bob enjoy a day ferreting with a difference on the wet moors of North Yorkshire. The boys, if you can call them that now, all met up in the North for a weekend of ferreting fun. Bob, at 73 was looking forward to this weekend so much he traveled up through the ice for the day. To make things a bit different they would ferret a hill with purse nets and Tawny as opposed to laying baskets worth of long netting. Would it work? Only time will tell. The nets laid were all made by either Bob or Torchie, some feat in itself. Shaun kept the boys fit and healthy with his banter and cooking whilst newcomer Lee just concentrated on the ferreting as all of the harvested rabbits had homes and the boys couldn’t catch enough to keep up with demand. Maybe next time.

This is amazing... we run them with beagles here in South Carolina but this is awesome.
I would not have bothered with the nets on them banks..too easy for the dogs and quicker if you have the right team. But looked like a great day out chaps. Ya can't beat a good day with mates.
Oh how I envy you, what away to spend your time
Looks like he's wearing saluki, right? and collie and whippet

Neil Gilbert The disease is only a small part of the rabbits problem. We have lower numbers in general but I am still finding hotspots that keeps me out of mischief.

Be Jaysus , I ‘m sorry for the way I feel, but I have pet rabbits and ferrets, it looks like you broke their neck when you got the rabbit, I know you see things differently! Do you catch them for food?

I hope you do eat them, because if they die for just the sport of ferreting then I really think that is sad!

All of the rabbits harvested went for human consumption. Nothing is wasted, nothing has died in vain.
