Descripción de la composición:
“Metiendo David su mano en la bolsa, tomó de allí una piedra, y la tiró con honda, e hirió a Goliath en la frente; y la piedra quedó clavada en la frente, y cayó sobre su rostro en tierra. Así venció David al filisteo con honda y piedra; e hirió al filisteo y lo mató, sin tener David espada en su mano”. (Samuel 17, 49-50).
La historia bíblica de David y Goliath representa la victoria del pequeño frente al grande, del desvalido frente al poderoso. Es una peculiar metáfora que se ha extendido por todo el planeta, en cuanto que da forma al universal anhelo de poder decidir nuestra suerte por nuestra propia mano, sin encontrarnos sometidos a influencias externas.
Esta composición describe los hechos de la biblia manifestando su alegoría. Poder, sabiduría, fuerza, ternura, compasión, miedo, lucha, venganza y destreza entre otros calificativos se aprecian en esta música vigorosa que enfrenta a Davide (los grandes tambores) y su adversario Goliath (la banda) formando una composición encantadora y espectacular.
A todos los músicos de la “Società Filarmonica di Bussoleno” (Italia), por el empeño e interés en evolucionar la música sinfónica para banda y especialmente a Davide Trolton, hijo del director titular de dicha banda, Danilo Trolton, por amar de manera especial la música sinfónica original para orquesta de vientos".
Esta composición se estrenó el día 11 de Abril de 2015, en el Auditorio de Bussoleno (Italia) por la Banda “Società Filarmonica di Bussoleno”, Italia, dirigiendo el autor Ferrer Ferran.

David put his hand inside his bag, took out a stone, and threw it with a sling, wounding Goliath in the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and Goliath fell on his face to the ground. So David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; strucked and killed him without having a sword in his hand. "(Samuel 17: 49-50).
The biblical story of David and Goliath represents the victory of small one versus big, the underdog against the powerful. It is a peculiar metaphor that has spread across the world, as that gives form to the universal yearning to be able to decide our fate by our own hand, without external influences.
This composition describes the events of the Bible expressing his allegory. Power, wisdom, strength, tenderness, compassion, fear, fight, revenge and skill among other adjectives are appreciated in this vigorous music that faced Davide (big drums) and his opponent Goliath (the band) forming a lovely and spectacular composition.
