No. This is a great car with great looks. Love it.

Astons have the same issue with leather peeling on the dashboard. Basically, just keep the dash out of direct sunlight when you aren’t in the car.

I would say between 8-12 years, with rubber components the life span is affected by environment more then anything. If the car is being driven between 40-60k miles is generally when we replace them.

This all depends on service history. If the car has had all services performed, and is in good condition you could go worry free to 120,000 miles or longer depending on service history.

How many mi roughly does the clutch work as opposed to my 4:30 which is like nothing if you use it. Can you get 30,000 me out of this clutch or more

This is technically a life time clutch, it does not require service because it’s not a serviceable clutch as it is a wet style clutch. You should see at least 150,000 miles if the car is serviced correctly, but that is the estimated life of the gearbox. Could be more or less.

SPOILER Sort of species specific. For one who has a high esteem of themselves in mind, Patricians verses plebians. There really is no tinkering aspect to it, except for the possability of polishing or waxing. As mundane as that is, I would expect they are regularily detailed/washed by other than their owners. I also imagine as the cost goes, these are indeed entry level and as such bring in the buyers who really can not afford them but try for a while ultimately in futility. I follow along with Jay Leno's opinion. I would say, buy at your own risk............................and expect risk to manifest. Probably a great weekend prominade car, a beauty contestant, a gold digger signaling device. It is pretty and exudes sex appeal, but is in reality a tease. When life becomes serious, it's recomended to take something domestic instead. It is as they are known and commented upon ...."A Ferrari thing" Your expectations will be in dismay if you think otherwise.

Not a fan of the california at all - but I love it in this spec! Absolutely gorgeous!

Generally there isn’t any issues in the 13+ models but in the 10-12 year models you will be able to see the symptoms described in this video.

This is a common term we use to refer to a battery tender. It keeps the battery charged and prevents the battery from naturally draining down over time since it is not being charged by the alternator when the car sits for extended periods. When an electrical system does not have the required voltage on a Ferrari it creates a lot of issues and fault lights. I hope this is a good explanation. It’s a trickle battery charger in English, Ctek is the best and manufacturer the same for Ferrari, it’s very common on this type of car…

@@HBiAuto Useful video - thanks. Im looking at getting a Cali so appreciate this. One question I have is about whether there is a battery kill switch. You correctly note these cars (and all moderns) drain batteries heavily just sitting. If you dont have a garage to use a tender (I live in London where almost no-one does though we have fancy cars) you need a battery kill switch. My Aston has one (simple press button job) but I havent been able to figure out if the Cali does - can you comment?

If the battery is fully charged and on a tinder you should never have an issue with this function. If it wasn’t designed for it, Ferrari would have disabled it. 😊

Sadly soon all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.!!!!

This “Sticky Button” issue has GOT to be THE MOST STUPID, and idiotic issue I have EVER heard. There is NO EXCUSE for this issue to still be happening. This should have been figured out the very first time the issue came to light. Ferrari should (AND COULD) end this issue once and FOREVER. Many of these highly expensive cars have issues like this. It’s unacceptable. If TOYOTA, HONDA and KIA even, actually ALL of them, can figure out how to make the basics on their cars RELIABLE…. Then so should Ferrari, Porsche, A.M., Lambo… etc.
