Slow films do tend to be contrasty, but that’s also a function of development. I’m thinking a compensating developer like Diafine will tame the contrast nicely, and may allow a little more speed.

Hi there! I didn’t know anything about this, what happened I can’t see anything on Google? So to add some more information to anyone that might see this. They launched a Kickstarter campaign which received a lot of backers. COVID-19 hit. Which meant they had to close their factory. This caused the Kickerstarter campaign to fall over. They have since offer credit to their online store matching the amount of money backers spent. So to some extent refunded, but arguably not the same. The risks of Kickstarter and the reality of Covid. Personally to me, I feel that’s acceptable given the circumstances and I’m happy about this video promoting their product. We should back these small producers if we want to keep shooting new films

@@Goughie I think you got some of the facts wrong, FilmFerrania started a kickstarter campaign in 2014.... 2014! with an estimated delivery of the rewards in early 2015. More than 5,500 photographers supported them and since they got the money, they only gave excuses and ran away with the money, they started selling their P30 film without giving one single roll to the ones that supported them. Covid came later, a lot later and they were already 5 years late in the delivery of rewards so they virus is not the reason, just another excuse. They are scammers.

Nobody was scammed. A lot of things didn’t go to plan, BUt the funds from the Kickstarter successfully allowed all the crucial machinery from the plant to be saved. Ferrania has been more than transparent about it. Now that the factory is getting back on its feet I look forward to shooting a lot of p30, and hopefully more films will come once Ferrania has reliable income from P30 sales.
