All around BADASS set ups

I have a Global EB3 short scale, I’m told made in Korea circa 1989. Heavy as lead. I ended up changing both pups, pots, the bridge, tuners, and moved to LaBella flat-wounds. String setup is near perfect at 2.25mm. It’s played through a Hartke LH1000 system. It took some time, but it’s now a perfect Jack Bruce sound.

I just got a Burny BEB-65 SG bass...it's pretty fantastic.

So this sold me one of these. Seriously. It did. I bought one.

@@illusionFTW No longer in the arsenal, but I was still surprised by the quality each time that I picked it up. Also, mine had a maple neck, so was a little bit brighter (a very good thing). I replaced it in my collection with a "real" Epiphone EB-3 made at Fujigen in 1999. I would rank this Japanese Epi as on par with that Burny. And my current actually has the Gibson headstock and branded truss rod cover. So that's how they compare, and, in some aspects, I would favor the Burny.

I have a 66 Gibson EB-O, I love it. It was my first bass at 13 in 1976, i still jave it. About a few months ago i bought a Japanese Sanyo SG bass but it does have a mini humbucker on the bridge sbd its still a short scale. Its not quite as good as the Gibson but did not expect it to be snd only paid $200 for it snd it was in good condition. I was looking fot a Japanese Copy of the EB-0 a while did not want to spend more then $300. I also bough a ,2018 Epiphone SG bass because i also wantef a 34" scale and figured if it was half as good as my Gibson i would be happy.Well i set it up bery good and playd good but the electronicd are horrible. The volume pots work like crap and the PU's are not the best but i love the look znd the way it plays. So om looking yo get s new Humbucker and new pots, i will see what happens.

Sounds like an old Gibby EB3. Maybe the best copy I've heard.

Very cool shortscale bass there... Did it come with a string dampener with a shielding on top of it?

Is there any difference between this and the newer models with the block inlays? I found a stupid deal on one. How does this stack up to the Greco?

I got the epiphone and sound very good too.... with the darkglass preamp its a monster

Had an Ibanez EB-3. Was that considered a good lawsuit copy?
