Fenix A320: Pneumatic System Feature Review!
Hi guys, first shot at doing a video feature review! Please let me know if you like these sorts of things :)
As a note: Deep Engine Simulation is not implemented in this build - hence there is no difference in ENG 1 and ENG 2 - this is planned for later.

What are your thoughts now that it has been out for a while?
Incredibly accurate modelling! You guys should get an award for most realistic system simulation!

It's built on ProSims A320 engine so a lot of the system work is pre existing and hence well known to be detailed. Bringing this into MSFS is a great move.
This bird is going to catapult the whole sim to a whole new level!
I fly the A320 series for a living and I would recommend this video to anyone doing their A320 type rating. Amazing work guys!
Aamir at 31:20 - You speak about fan located downstream the ram air inlet flap and which is not depicted, if have a look carefully this fan is depicted on the diagram as “COOLING FAN” and it interconnected to the compressor/ turbine axis. There is another feature that is not depicted on the diagram. There bleed system extracts water from the bleed air before it enters the turbine section. This water is then injected into the ram inlet airflow to increase cooling through evaporation. During the the walk around pilots usually visually inspect the ram air inlet flap for FOD’s (sometimes it is possible to see the water injection system injecting water into the airflow). Would be something amazing to have it modeled!

I was as well. Found it very interesting.
50 mins is nothing for something so complex and interesting! very good explanation need more of this 👍
With a PhD in thermal science and working as thermodynamic process engineer for organic Rankine cycle power generator, I find your video very interesting. Truly appreciate your effort in explaining the physics in a way that’s easy to understand. I found it quite difficult sometime as I was making videos for our customers to explain the thermodynamics of rankine cycle. Thank you!
I genuinely enjoy learning the nitty gritty and the behind the scenes operation of these systems. Looking forward to learning a lot more
The team's love to the little details which sum up to the big picture is hilarious. I could easily listen to you guys for many more hours, it's incredible and I am so excited to get my fingers on that bird. Really awesome!
This is really great to see this level of detail and attention go into an aircraft like this. Such an incredible project that you all have undertaken. I can also tell you for a fact that these minute temperature considerations, such as how passengers and cargo influence the time it takes for the areas of the aircraft to heat or cool, are things that I will absolutely appreciate having in this aircraft. It can be frustrating and it certainly breaks that level of immersion when you see things that are simply hard-coded and don’t react the same way as they do in real life. Can’t wait for this! I also really love this format, it’s much easier to digest and you can consume a lot more information via a video format. You’re able to show all of the aircraft schematics inside of the plane and then take you outside to show you exactly which ducts and inlets corresponds to what you’ve shown on both the synoptic pages but also in the FCOM. Hope to see more videos like these.
I watched the whole video in awe...you are doing a fantastic job, and through this and other videos you make us appreciate the amount of work and detail that is going into this airplane's simulation. My most sencere congratulations, and thank you for letting us know how deep your airbus is going to be.
You guys are crazy! Amazing level of detail and amazing to see. Can't wait!
I’ll tell you what, this is a very smart way to teach aircraft systems. I’m a real A320 pilot and I knew the pack inlet close on take off power but seeing it makes a huge difference, and a realistic sim like this can let you see stuff like this you’ll never see in real life. Can’t wait for this to be release, currently build a home cockpit to stay proficient in the stuff we don’t see out on the line everyday.

i’m not a pilot and i won’t pretend to know what it’s really like, but i can imagine having stuff like the fenix a320 to practice certain scenarios or understand certain systems would be really useful. so if you’re confused about a certain feature on the plane, i would think it would be much better to see it in action as apposed to a oral explanation
I could have listened to a lot more! Just the depth of the systems and how everything is modelled and interacts with each other is astonishing. I cannot wait to learn this aircraft
Really enjoyed the video. As a jet mechanic (corporate) and pilot, I love the details. Having gone thru these sort of system diagrams in real life countless times, it is so cool to see this level of modeling in a sim product. Probably going to have to buy this for sure.
Watched the complete thing. Fantastic work and incredibly accurate modelling. Superb work and look forward to seeing the next episode. Congratulations
This "video feature review" is the best! Please continue this new format for all future feature reviews.
Unbelievable what you guys did. You raised the bar for simulations quiet a lot. Congratulations.
As an Airbus 320 mechanic (retired) I’m impressed. I fly the fbw A320nx daily. Your presentation are very detailed, and interesting for me to be updated. For your information, the fan you were looking for, halfway in to the video, is actually shown on the on the simplified pack schematic. It is driven by the ACM, it sucks air through the two heat exchangers, and is pointed at with an arrow, stating: COOLING FAN. Keep up the fantastic work. Looking fwd to the release.
I really have no words! Fantastic! Congratulations for a such amazing job! I'm not talking about the development only. But also about videos like this! :-)
Groundbreaking work. If the whole aircraft is simulated with so much detail, this product will be good enough to prepare for an A320 type rating. Thank you for not giving us a brand new, sanitized cockpit.
This was amazing! The greatest lecture on any airbus system, I've ever seen.
Watched the video till the end. Even though I know A320 FCOM almost by heart it was still very great to listen to your explanation and to watch the demonstration of the proper simulation.
Wow! What a fantastic job you guys are doing. So much attention to detail!
I would much rather watch a video and see how it works rather then read a big article. Awesome video seeing how much detail has been put into just this system, I can't imagine how mush is in the overall aircraft once it's ready for release. Keep up the great work and videos, this will be a must have for me.
Take my money already ha! amazing work guys can't wait for this!
One of the most interesting videos I've ever seen, great job on explaining everything!
I’m in love. The perfect tool to ace every upcoming sim check!
Great format, I personally prefer this. Thanks for the great video and for the great work in general.
mind blown. nothing more to add. this adds so much to realism. *thumbs up*
This is simply amazing. Awesome work by the team. Can't wait to play with this aircraft
That was fantastic, I think this is going to be the gold standard of add on.
This is so brilliantly explained. Can't wait to buy this genius bit of kit.
BRILLIANT !! Hats off to you guys for your interest & Labour of love as you call it @Aamir. I presume that yours will be Benchmark Gold standard in the Aircraft Sim world for years to come & If you happen to do more projects after the 320 , you will be competing with none other than yourselves( P.S - whenever you do a 321 pls try modelling the reversible buss feature) Please let this be the medium of all your future updates. Great work & it deserves a good price too
Amazing stuff. Keep up the good work and please try to simulate as much as possible all the systems of the real thing. I am really impressed!
Fantastic job Aaamir....we need more videos like these please!
Great job dude ! We are waiting for this beauty !!!
I want you to do the whole airbus lineup haha. This is simply amazing :D
Amazing detail - I love it! I watched every minute.
I thought this video would be too complicated, but it wasn't. Very nice presentation.
You have left us all astounded!
Incredible work! Really incredible!
Thank you for having something for me to do on the afternoon :)
Great detail. Looking forward to getting this.
Loved this video! Amazing job you did! Can’t wait to see more :-)
Honestly this seems really ground-breaking in terms of sim design. The attention to detail in the way you've got it down here seems pretty crucial to the behaviour like you state in the video. This looks like it's going to be the best study level aircraft possible and I hope that Microsoft is paying this alot of attention. I can't wait to try it out! Great video dude and please keep them coming :). Next up the A350 and A380?
O-My-God! I am only 15 minutes in and felt the need to comment. This is ABSOLUTELY thrilling. Systems modeling is - and always will be - the most important aspect of flight simulation to me. This is on an altogether different level. I loved the LDS767 and it was my aircraft of choice to fly in FS9, largely because of the relatively complex system modeling. I can't wait to watch all of your videos and I will unquestionably be purchasing this masterpiece when it it released. This gives new meaning to, "As Real as it Gets"! BRAVO!!! EDIT: I forsee a new simulator title: Aircraft Maintenance and Service Technician Simulator" Wow... Just, Wow!
Absolutely unbelievable, I can’t wait for this bird to be released.

Hope it wont cost like $130 like the FSLabs
Not even 5 minutes in and I've said wow about 10 times, so bloody excited
High quality details. So realistic.
Hi Aamir, i got chance to watch this video and I have watched it full. Great aircraft you are developing with all technical details and functionality. All the Best to you and to your team. Waiting release of this beautiful Masterpiece 😍
Yep, watched the whole thing. Fantastic attention to detail! I don't care if it is more expensive than PMDG/etc I WILL be buying this. Hopefully you'll do the NEO as well.
I stayed for the whole video and i am french and my english is not perfect but seriously...i love the way you modeled this plane. I am not engineer or any job in mechanics so i am not in all these systems at all but i love the way you want it to be realistic. And i understood ! well... the most of it . Keep your way of doing... that is great !!!!
Amazing,can’t wait for this plane.
Just wow, this is going to be amazing
This airplane is going to be incredible. This is PMDG level commitment, if not more.

What I see actually, it will be more realistic 😃
As an electrical engineering student who wants to specialize in aeronautical engineering, this video is super cool. I can't wait to get my hands on this bad boy and spend hours upon hours studying it.
Are we looking at a launch in 2026? - joke aside, what a fantastic piece of work, can't wait for the release! 👌🏻
Amazing! Please keep doing the video format
Love this format!!!!
I bet there are things in these videos, real A320 pilots didn't know either.. Just incredible level of detail!
Aamir - There are two AC system components configurations. The diagram that you showed reflects the configuration that comprises 1 zone controller and 2 pack controllers, correct me if I am wrong but this is an old configuration. Usually the majority of the A320 are fitted with the 2 ACSC instead. Regarding the trim air system when you switch the HOT air off optimized regulation is lost. Trim air valves are driven to the fully closed position (the trim air valves must move to the “C” position instantly, since they air electrically controlled and pneumatically operated). Pack 1 controls the cockpit temperature to the selected value and pack 2 controls the cabin temperature (FWD and AFT) to the mean value of the selected temperatures.
Beautiful job!
I love it ❤️ and I cannot wait 🙏🏻. Please Aamir upload more videos! About the sounds too 🔊🔊
never have I been more excited to test out... an air conditioning system
Looking good guys!
What a great study tool this will be for my A320 type rating. You guys should win the Nobel prize for creating better pilots and saving lives eventually
I can't wait for this stuff!
Love the detail!
This is genuinely a great video format!
plane looking better and better cant wait
I just watched the whole video, nice job.
A really really great job !!!!! thanks a lot
An excellent video. Personally I prefer this format.
My goodness, thats a lot of details which will be under the hood, but really good to know the aircraft is functional as if its a real aircraft😁👍
Wow, great work!
Thanks Aamir for the intelligent tutorial.
Thats amazing wonderful great work 👍💯🇵🇷
i wish you also include the cfds menu, where you can simulate performing operational check and bite tests. for aircraft maintenance guys who love simulation of the a320. anyways, i think your work beat all of the mods out there. though, flightfactor simulates thousand of relays and toliss are officially licensed by the airbus. and i can't believe even the circuit breakers in your work are simulated. keep up, can't wait for the release
@blindsight_music_
2 жыл бұрын
the circuit breakers are groundbreaking for msfs simulation, that level of detail has never been seen in msfs, and very rarely seen in any other sim
A new era is ahead of us...
So awesome !
man if this releases and i need to call in sick for the next year
Mindblowing…😊
Fascinating!!!
RIP other mods for a320. This is really really amazing !
Amazing!
Aamir, at 23:11 - You do not get an amber FAN message on the ECAM COND page by switching the CAB FAN p/b located on the overhead to off. They only come on (amber) if the related recirculation fan is detected faulty.
If I remember right, If you loose the Hot Air thus loosing the Trim Air, Pack 1 controls the cockpit temperature to the selected value and pack 2 controls the cabin temperature (FWD and AFT) to the mean value of the selected temperatures. Don’t know if this is simulated.
A320 captain for 5 years; I have one word: Next Level of pre-sim prep tool!! .. Can you please make a quicker for the ventilation system, how you have modeled the skin exchange inlet/outlet bypass valves with cargo underfloor heating
Sir you mentioned that air temperature is regulated to 200 at the packs by controlling fan air valve , but that happened after after the air leaving the HPRV and temperature maintained at the precooler
Am i the only one to notice the post-it note on the FO side just like what KatiePilot uses 👀
Wow I think this Fenix Airbus will be even more sophisticated and realistic than real Flight Simulators (real Flight Sims probably won´t have many of these systems simulated realistic or probably not at all simulated "because it´s all about flying and procedure training" for pilots when entering a Boeing or Airbus flight simulator). So congratulations you will deliver a better Airbus to our home computers than real pilots get in their simulator training!
Need more videos like this
Good presentation Aamir but is it in the MSFS sim?
I'm so going to buy it
Dear Amir Thacker please tell me are you in the USA A superb piece of engineering I am a retired engineer I have to up grade my computer now I can't wait to fly you aircraft thank you for all your time and effort
Fantastic
Great!
Nice one!
