Highly recommendable video on the topic from BlackBox711 going into further technical details: kzread.info/dash/bejne/faCntKWvp5PbmLw.html
Yes, I did already have a video on this topic. But I decided after comparing the previous video - which was created using the LVFR/Horizon Sim A319 - that it doesn't do the Fenix engine simulation justice and thus created a new one.

V2 is a brand new plane inside out.
You always answer all my questions regarding operation of different functions, thank you so much, I'm sure more people feel the same way and are thankful for your help!
you deserve more views and audience, you bring lot of information from operations and technical side. Thank you
Thank you Emanuel for that interesting lesson again ! 👍
What a great video! Thank you
Thanks didn't know about IAE motoring and it being prone to rotor bowing especially earlier versions. Always thought that motoring was something new introduced to Leap engines (MAX and NEOs).
Thanks for this awesome tutorials! Question: Uh oh, how to add that custom stickers in the cockpit (the one you have with engine info)?
Thank you!
thank you!
Did two flights as of yet on the IAE. Jetstar SYD-MEL and back. Floated a little bit too much on the first landing and got down a bit hard on the second 😅. Still getting used to the new flying model, but overall really liked the changes.

Same here, you need to get accustomed to the new model, but the initial impression is much better than with the previous version.
Well, usually the sim world releases something interesting exactly when I am traveling too far from home to try it immediately 😂 That was the case with the PMDG 737-800 and now with the updated Fenix A320. Next time I am taking vacation in the beginning of May 2024, so I bet the PMDG will release their 777 some day around 😂😂😂
The screens seem to be smaller than in the A32 nx. Opening an extra window for the PFD freezes the game.
I like your colours. Mine is all blueish and i cant read the Dark PFD/ND. Mind sharing your settings? Game filter?Thanks
I remember the day, when i had a laptop, fsx and fslabs, and all i used to fly were IAEs, just because of better climb performance and better FPS ) .... look how far we have come.

haha, wait for the A330.... 35 minutes till cruise level are quite common!

@@A330Driver lol the IAEs did it in like 20 25(depends on weight lol) just YEETED past , also used to always takeoff at flaps 2 for better takeoff performance. atleast its finally here and i suppose sharklets perform better?
Masterclass videos as always, keep up the good work. Excellent update from the Fenix team as well.

Thank you! And I fully agree!
The N1 Mode is still WIP from Fenix change log imo
so are both the CFM and IAE modelled with the new tech such as turbine stalls or only the IAE?
Thanks very much for the video. I have an unrelated question. After touchdown, where's the indication for the ground spoilers? I am having difficulties finding it...
@A330Driver

It’s on the lower ECAM.
Thanks for this video. I have been struggling with this new update. The aircraft feels 'heavier', my landings have been floating and the touchdown have been heavy. Has there been changes there that we should be aware of? Did you have to change anything with how you were flying it?

Don't hold the plane off the ground, fly it right onto it!
Hello . Is IAE startup sequence is different from CFM, i mean engine 1 then 2 ?
@3greens357

Totally the same for both engines
Toliss dosen't need so much time to start... So, in that case which simulation is better then?
@A330Driver

ToLiss. It should be not much longer than 30 seconds on IAE engines. It's not a LEAP engine which can indeed take some 2 minutes.

@A330Driver Interesting comment. Where are you getting these numbers from? All the data I've found online, including videos shot in the real flight decks indicate that it takes about 60 seconds for an engine start, *if* the EGT is within limits and the FADEC doesn't go through the "motoring" phase. Out of interest, have you watched the section of the video posted by Aamir on Fenix's KZread channel where he goes through engine startups with high EGTs and even aborted starts? Because your comment is basically saying either whatever he's saying is untrue, or that the thermal modelling of the engine is ridiculously bad, in that heat dissipates much, much faster in the real engines compared to what Fenix have modelled. Have you also, in the exact same conditions, loaded the ToLiss up, shut one engine down on the runway, and started it up 5 minutes later? Now I don't mean to sound rude, but if indeed what your comment suggests turns out to be untrue, perhaps you could afford to spend a bit more time checking the facts before making such comments? I do of course appreciate the to-the-point and frequent nature of your videos but a balance should be struck. I think.

@@A330Driver You realize the FADEC minimum crank time is 30 seconds on the v2500? You're totally wrong.
Did you know that you can move the cockpit seats?

Yes, but why would I do that in the simulation? It doesn’t adjust my viewpoint if I do.

FSLabs would have charged you 200€ for this update and then installed malware on your PC...

No they wouldn't... fslabs never charged for concurrent updates i had it since day 1 and still even to this day is the most comprehensive Airbus addon made for any sim

@@LemonToGo you think what you want and your entitled to do that, but me as a paying customer had no problems with what they did, it was a little shady yes! but i understand thee reason they did it ......the malware is only activated when "specific serial numbers that have been identified as pirate copies" are detected. At that point, the malware is used to extract login details, gather information, and potentially use it for legal action. so if you bought it legally then you would have had zero things to worry about

Didn't the Fslabs at first also only have CFM engines, and the IAE's were released for free thereafter?
