Fender Rumble 25

Фильм және анимация

A quick review of the Fender Rumble 25 that we had in for repair. There was actually nothing wrong with the unit, the tip of a 1/4" plug was stuck in the input jack and when removed the amp worked just fine.

    Thank you, glad you found the review useful and congratulations on your purchase of a great little amp. I've had the chance to use it in a small restaurant setting with an electronic drum set and it worked very well for that gig. I think the highest I went with the volume control was 9 o'clock and it sounded nice and full. Enjoy and keep making music. :)

    Congratulations! I'm glad you are enjoying your new Rumble amp, they are a fabulous little unit. Lately I played on in a restaurant setting with an electronic drum set and guitar, low volume gig but the amp sounded great. Enjoy it in good health, keep making music. :)

    Great video! I have the limited edition blonde 200 watt version and love it, but I was looking at the 25 because the 200 is just too much just for home practice. This video sealed the deal for me and I’m definitely going to pick one up now. Thanks!

    cramerfan04 thank you. The blonde has that extra retro-cool look that appeals to me. Fender make some great gear for sure and the Rumbles have that vintage tone and feel but can do modern tones also. Glad to hear you’re enjoying yours. Keep making music and happy holidays.

    Bit late but thanks! gave up playing 2o years ago and just starting back! I did some research and just bought this practice amp, at 62 I am not likely to go beyond a beer filled balcony jam session with muso friends now and again with most playing done at home without annoying the wife too much. :)

    to be fair, if you turned up to a bar gig with one of these set on overdrive (no contour) you can belt out some volume with this.

  • @samatza

    @samatza

    4 жыл бұрын

    The overdrive does help it as far as volume goes but on a gig you're really pushing it to its limits so the sound gets rather compressed. The 8" speaker can only push so much air, the 100W and 200W versions are a safer bet if you need headroom, having said that it depends on the rest of the band and the size of the room. Keep on rockin'!

    Hi, not really that much difference between 15W & 25W versions. I think the 15W version was created to include in a starter pack. If You'll be using it in a band context, 100W and up is more appropriate.

    for a small room in my house, is 25 or 40 watts appropriate?

  • @samatza

    @samatza

    3 жыл бұрын

    I found that at a rehearsal in a small room with electronic drums the 25 watt was easily enough power. If your budget allows though the 40 watt has a larger speaker and some extra features you may use down the track. Where I live the 40w is about 30% more expensive so for students that need an amp to practice at home the 25w is more affordable. If you can check them both out and see which one fits your needs. Keep well.

    Good review, this amp is a good practice amp. It won't play along with a drummer but then neither will the 40, I think this is a great practice amp but if you wanna play along with a band you'll need at least a 100 & probably more. But for home use. It's as good as you'll get

    It would be hard for me to get the 25 watt when the 40 watt is only $80 more at most online retailers. More features with the 40, more power. Someone could say, I live in an apartment, so 25 watts is fine and lighter as well. All true, but for only $80 more, just sayin'.

  • @samatza

    @samatza

    Agreed, it makes sense in your case. Here in Australia they are $229 and $369 so for a young player it may make sense to buy the more affordable option and have a little more to spend on a bass. Keep well GB.

    hi Santos, I think it depends on what you like personally. Orange 25 has a built in tuner and is a little lighter but in my town it's 30% higher in price. If you can try both at your local store and choose which you feel is better for you that would be ideal.

    @@tankslapper4686 if they are the same price then either will do the job. The Orange does have the built in tuner so that's a plus, both look great although different and both sound pretty good for practice amps. At the same price- take your pick, here in Sydney they are about AU$100 apart in price, the Fender being about $200 and the Orange about $300.

    It scoops the mids and it tends to hit the limiter quicker so it gets a little squashed.

  • @samatza

    @samatza

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@egierzal2184 Hi Egi, that’s a really good question. Human hearing tends to favour the midrange, when we scoop the mids we’re cutting out a lot of the sound we are more sensitive to so to compensate we turn up the volume to achieve equal loudness. The bass frequencies require more power to be heard so the amp reaches its limit sooner at the same perceived volume. I hope this helps, be well.

    Hi Mike, yes you could do that but at 7 on the volume the limiter was continuously on when we tried this setting. It depends on your budget and the gigs you do, for me a 100W amp with a 10 or 12" speaker is about the minimum. Great little amps for the price and purpose though.
