Fender Blues Junior BEAUTIFUL Clean Tone
Музыка
The guitar strings I use (Affiliate Link) ~ amzn.to/3apKW8p
Another addition to Guitar Rigs. My favorite tone with the Tweed Fender Blues Jr, a pristine clean with some nice reverb. Using a Fender Stratocaster loaded with Lust for Tone Monterey pickups straight into the amp.

@@JackFossett how to achieved that bell tone or glassy tone is it more of an amp or more of the pickups?
@JackFossett
4 жыл бұрын
@@emmaruthdecastro4768 Its both, but that character you're talking about specifically I think comes more from the guitar -- a Fender style single coil guitar is best for bell like, glassy tones. For pristine cleans, stick with a Fender or Vox style amp too.

Emma Ruth De Castro probably - the Tex Mex pickups are wound a little hot so you may need to have the gain dialed back a bit more, but they should still have a nice clean
Uniquely beautiful bright tone. So resonant.
Hey Jack.. A huge THANK YOU!! Newbie here i had been struggling to get a clean tone from our Blues Junior and my fat Strat.. this helped immensely. Bass all the way up and cranking up the volume!
It was a pleasure to hear you play, very nice playing :)
I like this guy he does real reviews and sound demos nice work.
Beautiful Jack. Have a blues junior tweed myself. Will be trying to carve out these super clean tones myself.. Beautiful chordial melodic song too.. Your wife must feel very proud of you 👍
I love slow blueas, thank you for the great demos, your description really helps in focusing an idea on the tones and music :)
wow the best indictment for Fender I've ever heard, thanks JF
such an angelic tone
Ahhhh that fender tone is so dang sweet and can't be beat 😍

It's the calm place. I'd plug in now (same rig - sorta. Different Strat ofc) but it's almost midnight here in Australia... The first time I plugged in? Total revelation on the cleans of a Fender Strat into a Fender Tweed Jnr. Shut my bandmates' mouths, I can tell you that. "It's too small, just DI with your IR" Ha! After I finished playing some mellow, Johnny Marr style music - *crickets* They don't rag on the Junior no more.

Is it possible to get same cleans out of the blues deluxe? Perhaps with eq pedal. Sounds brilliant and tasty.
@JackFossett

Yeah absolutely. I wouldn’t have the bass up as high. Also, try using the number 2 (low gain) input.
The settings for getting this tone work the same way in the blues jr III Standard? (The non-tweed one) or something changes? Beautiful playing btw!

Thank you! They should, although there are alot of considerations like the speaker, the guitar you're playing, etc. So I'd use it as a starting point and then tweak it as necessary to suit your rig.

Any suggestion on pickups for a Tele, i'm looking for a really smooth and mellow tone?
@JackFossett

My favorite tele pickups come from a small company in Manchester NH called Andrew Robertson pickups - you can find him on Facebook. The Sweet 53 is a superb set. For smooth and mellow his Super 60 set is also an excellent choice.

Nicely done mang! Been on the fence for around 8 years on the blues junior. Mainly, is it enough for gigs? Killer tone 🤘🏼
@JackFossett
5 жыл бұрын
Christopher Mafnas thanks! So it depends on the gig, but mostly yes. I’ve played in full 5 piece band situations with an unmic’d blues junior and been fine. Small to mid size venues, then if you’re mic’d of course it’s fine. The only thing is you won’t have much clean headroom if you need to push it to those volumes.

Could a Gibson Les Paul with a Marshall sound that clean? Just a bit fatter?

You could certainly get a nice clean tone with a Gibson and a Marshall depending on the models, but the dynamics would be very different.
Hmm
What a beautiful tone. That's the reason I got about 8 different strats. They're my drug of choice 🎸 Would your wife marry me as well. Tell her that I'll also have a candy apple red strat as well ☺

How could I not subscribe here. A man with the same love for a strat gets a thumbs up in my world 👍
Fem-nazis take heed! Men need to be taken care of too! Seriously though, this was great. Did you use a reverb pedal as the reverb was much nicer than the amp (well nicer than my on board reverb on my Blues Junior 3)...
Sounds like you have an awesome wife just like I do! Congrats…
💤💤💤
Sending back the Vox ac15 to get this blues Jr Ltd is the worst thing I ever did in my life. This is a horrible boxy sounding amp. This is a half trick pony. Even the reverb in this is much worst.
