The Jazzmaster! I am really happy with how you did the comparison. I had and sold my Telecaster Player a couple months ago. I would prefer the American version of the Jazzmaster but the Player sounds great. Decisions!

Ive got the posher jazz master and its just great to just pickup play and sing along to. It actually sounds great just acoustic not as full as an acoustic but still quit rich. For songwriting its a great tool its light its comfortable I simply use it more often. I have recorded with it on a few tracks and its fine. Though you do notice that the songs you wrote but then recorded on a basic acoustic ( it s a nice sounding but not expensive one ) are richer and fuller in tone. However you can play stuff you just can't play on the acoustic.

Great demo! I prefer the acoustics on the jazz master, but think the electrics on the tele sound more usable. Pity you can’t pick the options

How does the head-dive compare on these two models?

I'd suggest it's be helpful if the Tele was demod in acoustic settings with the same type of playing done on the Jazzmaster where the parts played were approached as acoustic guitar parts. By contrast technique on the Tele stuff seems "electric" in nature with a harder attack making comparisons difficult. Still informative but I'm looking for a head to head comparison on the acoustic sounds.

Are you plugging it into an electric guitar amp?

Tough choice, I prefer the sound of the jazz but the look of the tele..... 2 questions I have if you wouldn't mind. Possibly a silly question, but what strings are they usuing on this, acoustic or electric strings ? 2nd is this played through an acoustic or electric amp? Great demo 👍🏼 💯

Did the electric/acoustic strings question get answered? I think the answer is electric, but just wanted to be sure … also, is there a jack to plug in headphones so you could practice is relative silence?

Nope…accoustic strings and no headphone jack but your amp should have one right? 😉

Is there a reason these dont come with a neck pick-up? (Is there any way to make them sound like a Fender?)

  • @artemyzolotorevsky5834

The reason they don't come with a neck pickup is because there is no space for it. And it's a hybrid between electric and acoustic, but since the mostly used pickup is a bridge one, nobody cares for neck in this case. As for the second part of your question... it IS a Fender guitar, because it's in the name: Fender Acoustasonic. You know this, right?..

It all started with the Danelectro Convertible model. As for the Acoustisonics, I have an American Jazzmaster, and it’s fantastic! Very useful as a studio guitar, and it’s also very good as a bedroom strummer, not plugged in.

Which should you buy? If you're allergic to the idea of carrying both an acoustic and an electric, then a Taylor T5.
