I’m always in awe of how you young guys throw those big saws around like they weigh nothing! I may be 64, but my 461 w/ 32” bar is all I can manage for occasional firewood cutting.

Always good having two climbers on a crew. One guy always steps up when an unexpected climb is necessary to complete the job. It’s dangerous enough when you’re motivated to climb, Nevermind when you’re not mentally prepared for it

You two are a great team. Jacob that helmet scares me, you keep looking up just like Jeb did and it didn’t protect him. You had some falling branches and I can’t even imagine what would have happened if you hadn’t run out from under that tree. Consider using the green helmet with the face shield please. You are precious to your family and your friends in addition to the fans here on KZread. Be safe and so glad Randy was there to help you. Good felling of this sappy tree!

Stihl really needs to take the same tech from the 500i and make a 90cc class saw. The 661 seems like a dog compared to the 90cc class Huskys.

I just thought about calling sap, "tree blood". My perspective, for a second, varied a notch out of conservation mindedness. Ultimately, I love and am grateful for trees and what they provide. "Tree juice" works I suppose. I think I still have some vintage turpentine, and maple syrup on hand, among other products. Thanks for the vids.

They put a decomp in saws for a reason. 592 run quite a bit of timing stock and starter kicks stock. Yours was ported if I remember correctly so it should have more compression too, which is even harder on the starter. As far as the idle issue, maybe whoever ported it has done something wrong causing an air leak possibly. When they warrantied the oil line did they hook it up to the computer and check for diagnostic codes? I’ve had my 592 for 3 years already and it’s been trouble free and runs like a scalded dog, same for my 572’s! To be honest not sure why you even have it, you’ve always been a Stihl guy along with your buddy Gordy so any issue at all is going to be amplified with your dislike for them anyway. Instead of complaining on your Chanel why not get it to whoever worked on it for you and tell them to make it right! There is numerous hard wood fallers running them without issues.
