Never gonna happen. The networks have destroyed soaps. No money..no time. cheap casting now days. My guess is the remaining few won't be around much longer :( my fav is Days

@@lilysowner That is because they drew from a pool of theater-trained actors. Many of the west coast soaps just got TV-ready actors with pretty faces. ATWT had people who often did double duty starring in plays while they were still on the soap.

Anna Holbrook earned that Emmy. Her performances were Meryl Streep level amazing. Jill Phelps gets a lot of shit but the one thing she does well is make the performers perform riveting soap opera.

The irony is... this is the second time under her rule that an adultery story happened and then shortly after... a beloved character was killed off. Only this time, the woman being cheated on wasn't killed.

The level of Sharlene's pain was so well portrayed by Anna Holbrook. Sharlene was so scorned, hurt, and bitter. It's impossible to not feel it yourself. I loved this storyline.

I loved Another World. Growing up my grandmother (who was deaf) watched the soaps from 11am until 3pm. The Young and The Restless, Days Of Our Lives, Somerset, Another World and Santa Barbara. We (all 6 of us grandkids) had to watch them until our afternoon shows came on and you kinda got hooked on them. In college a scheduled my classes around the soaps lol. My grandmother always knew what was going on if I missed a few days. Yes she was deaf, she lost her hearing at age 10, but she could read lips across an ocean lol. Brings me back. Another World was awesome. I loved/hated the characters. Rachel. Mac. Iris. Felecia. Quinn. Donna. Micheal. Reginald. Vicky/Marley. Cass. Sharlene/Sharly. Amanda. Sam. Jake. Pauline. Jaime. The story lines were so engrossing and fantastic. Yelling at the characters, screaming, crying, wishing I found a love like them..and mourning the real deaths of Mac and Ada.
