It still strikes me as so terribly sad what happened to the actor who portrayed Hal. May he rest in peace.

I was so glad they never replaced him.

Omg this is the cast I loved the most. These characters were a part of my life. 💜💜💜💜💜💜

I love Ellen Dolan. Loved her as Margo and I loved her as Maureen Bauer on GL

ben hendrickson was my fave male as the world turns actor broke my heart when he passed i was soooooo happy he got his i think first emmy sitting here watching this since first aired tears streaming down my face...........

One of the saddest things on tv.

My favorite show and real death and watching it tore at my heart and cry my eyes out you can feel and see the emotion the actors had

Barbara was the women I liked the most with Hal. RIP Ben

Hal was the Johnny apple seed of Oakdale all those baby mommas! Lol 😂 Hal seriously what a treasure

Barbara loved Hal!!

The one thing I loved about the writers. They sent Hal out like a hero. The actor's death was senseless. Suicide is never answer, but the show made sense of his death.

Yes. Earlier this year the UK Soap Opera Coronation Street did a Storyline where a character named Aidan killed himself. Afterwards Helpline Phones were ringing off of the hook with people who needed help. They realized that there's always a solution. Sadly enough Kristoff St. John's Son Julian killed himself. As you now he plays Neil Winters on The Young & The Restless.

Several people had stated that the actor who played Hal went into a major depression after losing both his mother and brother to cancer, in which he helped take care of both of them and then right before he committed suicide, he filmed the scenes involving Jennifer's death and funeral. In addition, he was also dealing with some health issues himself around the time of his death. I remember reading that in an interview his nephew gave to People magazine not long after the actor died.

THIS WAS SO SAD..... you work with people closely yet, you do not realize that they are in pain and unfortunately this happens. A wonderful actor, enjoyed watching him on ATWT....I cried when the news came out.... One of my favorites on this soap opera

I remember recording this and it took me nearly a month to watch it. I had watched Hal from beginning to end. He was one of my favourite characters and Hendrickson was an amazing actor. that weird guy is Craig. not Hunt Block or Scott Bryce.

That's Jeffery Meeks, There we're four actors that played Craig, Scott Bryce, Hunt Block, Jeffery Meeks, And Jon Lindstrom.

I returned to school when I read about his tragic death. I liked Hal a lot as well.

It doesn't seem like anybody in the soap's had the same mother and father. Ironically, Bob and Kim ended up with two of their own; Sabrina and Chris. I thought they had six kids between them, but I'm only able to count five (Tom, Frannie, Sabrina, Chris and Andy).

He only had affair with Margo he was married to Carly and Barbara when he had fathered their children and he married Emily and had girlfriend Denise. He also had wife Linda but was unaware he had a child with her until Nikki was 16. I believe his true love was Barbara since he married her three times..

Will is played by the same actor who plays Jay halstead on Chicago PD. Wow.

D. Vanildo nope 👎 Emily Carried Her Mother Susan’s egg it’s called being a, surrogate so that makes Emily and Allison Sister’s not Mother and. Daughter to be completely honest I googled and it said Emily only carried, Allison because Susan couldn’t carry a child.

Yep. Carly and Hal were Parker's parents and Barbara and Hal were Will's biological parents. Barbara would had another child by John but it died.

Hal had once an affair with Carly with Parker as result, Emily was his last woman he got a relation with, which makes Alison his stepdaughter, Jennifer was also a daughter of Hal, this time Barbara was the mother
