I'm going to give this a lot of thought. I have degenerative disc disease in my back as well as rheumatoid arthritis. I can see this applying to the disc issues, but not the RA which is an autoimmune disease where my body attacks itself. Interesting.

Glad you are thinking on it. Individuals with RA have gotten significant improvement in symptoms with Feldenkrais. I think the reasons are a bit different than those presented in this video but very worth trying.

Are you still in chronic pain Cynthia? I've suffered from chronic headache/migraine seems to be associated strongly with structural issues. Saw a chiropractor for 4 months twice per week. I tried Feldenkrais for the first time last week and I've been back twice since. I can't believe how much better I feel! Hoping I can really kick the chronic pain bucket. How long did it take before your results 'stuck' so to speak? Thank you for your inspiration!

How great that you tried it and feel better already. I too found immediate results with the Feldenkrais Method. It has been a long time ago so I don't know that I can speak to the results "stuck" part accurately anymore. But from clients I work with relief should gradually last longer and you will know how to work with yourself more and more for your own benefit. _ Cynthia

I was in the field of massage for many years in early life and frommy study in evolutionary biology and neuro-physiology, I moved into what I called neuro-physiological therapy with coconut oil (with drops of essential oils) for HIV positive people to boost their immunity. It helped thousands to contain the HIV retrovirus from its progress in self-reproduction. Then, I moved away from ayurvedic panchakarma and shirodhara taking its methodology into consideration, integrated it with Alexander method, Gokhale method, the neurological issues from V S Ramachandran, and landed up with Feldenkrais. I am grateful for the unlimited online access in recent years to these systems of health case. Thanks to all who have helped care for people with compassion.

Address the entirety of yourself with these issues. Then you will see differences. Strengthening and stretching or "core" workouts not the answer. Stick with Feldenkrais or other forms of movement re-education.

@@mezzofeldenkrais1647 I assure you I'm on the right track since a while and trying a lot of things, but I'm starting to surrender to the fact that I will live in pain for the rest of life. And that sucks and it sucks for many other humans that live in physical pain. It's like a harsh punishment and death will be the solution (or a new body hopefully).
