1983, I heard Fela for the first time. I'm still hooked to this day. Who is still listening, 2023 😂😂
Heard the story behind creating this masterpiece, we dont have brave men as Fela today to face these greedy politicians and government

I love Fela. the most hypnotic grooves ever. As though that were not enough he is the authentic voice of truth, justice and struggle. I admire how he lived. So brave.

What a Spectacular Comment 😍. Thank you for loving our Ancestor (Black President).
You know, I try to walk gently thru the world - but this song just pops into my head sometimes!
This album was released way ahead of its time. A very jiving, jolly and jazzy track.
We miss you Abami Eda. The situation in Nigeria is 1000 times worse than you left it. The various govts after your transition were more daring in stealing, The citizens are becoming more and more cowardly. The stench of poverty induced by corruption has saturated the whole atmosphere.🤔🤔🤔. Rest well Ogbologbo
ONE OF MY BEST FELA KUTI TRACK. REST ON GREAT LEGEND OF OUR TIME

Yes you can. Album is called live in Amsterdam. Also on another album called power show
Menacing rhythm...
the Shit
Fela chose not to get global exposure during his reign, perhaps knowing well that in the future his music will testify and self promote itself after he has passed. He was given every opportunity for global attention, but only grab a small proportion of such opportunities. Plus he knew that his music was unique and ahead of its time. Ask yourself, how many African artists played like Fela during his time. People tried copying his style, yet it wasn't the real deal.

Because he didn't want to sell out to them.... An idol himself wouldn't want to bow to some masons....

Yes. The song is about racism
