Nice review, though the summary at the end was missing. Not a fan of the distortion on lateral scrolling...yes it is 16mm equivalent, even considering that found it unpleasant. Also, face tracking, when it worked, was jerky...again, not a fan. But that's just me, others may be fine with it.

Nice photography/videography as always Graham but is the product any better than the stabilisation of any current Olympus O-MD E-M camera with their superb five axis IBIS? I don't think so. It seems that its main advantage is its compactness and convenience, not its ability as a steady-shot video camera. Maybe I'm wrong? What do others think?

Absolutely, compactness for vlogging must have been the goal here. I'm not sure if I had a bad sample with poor lens focus but it certainly didn't look like anything I have seen from my DJI drone footage and that has variable focus whereas this has infinity, fixed focus.

I didn't think the image quality was too bad until i saw your comment about then quality at the edges, then I couldn't unsee it 😄. Inbuilt mics only 🙄

It is worse in the super wide mode as is full sensor width, other modes crop into this which do mask it slightly.

You couldn't get much closer to a DJI pocket 2, even down to using the word "Pro" in the menu like the pocket 2, along with the hit and miss tracking, dependent on how fast the subject moves I notice you didn't really touch on the speakers or mic, the DJI has 4 mics built in and with the combo you get the wireless mic, which works pretty good and gives you several mic options, which for blogging or vloggers is pretty important when choosing a easy and reasonable priced set up. Love to see you do a in depth comparison with your usual detail and comparisons. I don't think i will be selling my DJI pocket two to purchase this though. But thank you for the informative review, otherwise i wouldn't even know about it.

I did ask about external mic options and was told one was due shortly after launch. Personally I think that 130 degree is too wide and the lens shows a lot of distortion at the edges and would benefit from the ability to add ND filters. It's certainly convenient but really needs the app and smartphone to be able to see exactly what you are filming and with smartphones like the Samsung S21 Ultra I don't think that you need bother with the added complication of the gimbal.

Your video seemed to end somewhat abruptly Graham, and there were none of your opinions as to how good you thought the product, or if it was good value for money. I was pretty unimpressed by the picture quality and the product.

It's a product that I really wanted to like however, whether I had a bad sample, I was unimpressed with the lens quality - especially at the edges. 130 degrees is probably too wide for general shooting but probably OK for vloggers who don't want to hold the gimbal out at arms length. There were other issues which I think need addressing and I was waiting to see if I saw these in other reviews. I think the original pocket may have had better IQ especially in lower light with its larger pixels.

@@GrahamHoughton12 i just got my unit last week, hoping to use the 130 degree for capturing more scenery, but my lens seem to have extremely bad quality which makes it unusable. i filed a complaint to FEIYU but nothing replied yet.
