Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday i look for your vlog. 75 years and still trying to find my limits. I admire your stamina and your persistence. Thank you for sharing the overwhelming feeling of ALL your garden.
😂 "He eats them all. He can still fly!" 🤣 I adore your vlogs. Always lovely to see you, Einstein and missing scissors. ✂️ ❤😅
You are brave! My pumpkin was facing the wrong way...I just built him a special ladder![😂😂😂
I love your videos, weeds and all!! I appreciate your gardening style...I work full time, an hour drive to work and and hour drive back home, so I get stressed out sometimes because I only have the weekends to work in my garden. I don't watch gardening KZreadrs with perfect gardens because THEY stress me out and make me feel like my little plot isn't good enough. You are such an inspiration and I sure do appreciate the encouragement you give us!!
That was me in the helicopter Emma, sorry if I scared you . I was on my way home from Glastonbury and needed petrol, someone siphoned my tank .
Hi Emma, I have been gardening for 29 years. When I feel overwhelmed I take it all in bite sized paces. Bit by bit in small paces. Just keep going. Pius I like videos.
Put motion sensitive with night vision cameras up, so you can view any animals, people, in the allotment or see the weather etc. They can be set to notify when there is movement to your phone and email. Put them in obvious & hidden locations to deter any trespassers. Best to you.
I planted a large pack of peas 320 of them, all were gone by the morning. I also have been blaming slugs and snails for eating my lettuce and beetroot plants, then sat by my shed with my wife we watched as a very large rat come from next doors shed and then started eating the lettuce and beetroot.
I actually moved my grandsons pumpkin to another bed, about 5 leaves wilted, so I chopped them off and it's doing amazingly well! I used chicken manure pellets and blood fish and bone just to give it a fighting chance and it worked. I had 2 more pumpkins in reserve just in case it died, but she who dared won. I'm pleased to say 😅
I lost my scissors today at my allotment! I’ve been putting new netting over some of my veggies (scaffold netting) and lost my scissors after cutting one piece, unbelievable.
The weeds have gone ballistic this year! I only worry about the bind weed. It's a right royal pain.
Emma, try not to stress to much about the weeds, everyone has them, keep weeding your beds with plants in and only do the rest when you have time. The slugs love dahlias so planting more will only result in dead dahlias.
Can’t believe how good your plots are looking .great Emma and you’re so funny.x😊
Looking forward to Fridays vlog to see if a pumpkin can indeed be turned around 🎃 I really felt on the edge of my seat for that! I don’t think I’d have been brave enough.
One weed at a time Emma, have learnt over the years of being a gardener not to stresss about weeds just sort one bit at a time and you win in the end , well done you did just that, brill. Gentle advice, if you put a string or cane at side of pumpkin lean it towards frame and tie plant to cane/string and you can get it to grow back towards arch no need to dig ,but I'm sure it will still grow. ❤
Hey Emma, I enjoy your videos because you are honest and don't try and make it look like things are perfect ☺ I like that you turn up in the honest mood you are in, much better than something overly produced and unrealistic! I think I'm trying to say, from my perspective that's a strength so don't be disheartened by it! *Also me shouting at the screen - 'don't move it, don't.. ohhhh'* - but I'm sure it will be fine 😆
No no no , just tie up the vine the leaves will turn themselves around. I do that to my squash and it works every time
When you remarked on the helicopter being there Emma, i had one coming by me too where i was sat in the garden so that completely threw me 😂 Talk about chance timing. Good on you with the pea attempts, im taking on that practice and been re-sowing so many crops in the hopes of success!
You're doing a great job, Emma. Always look forward to seeing your vlogs. Keep up walking those peas in. You'll win eventually.

Ah thank you! x
Love watching your vlogs Emma, keep up the good work. Here in my part of Canada I have never had to worry about slugs and snails. till this year! Also want to let you know that a couple of months ago I purchased a pair of Merry People boots because of you and have just put an order in for a pair of CoolJob gardening gloves!! Thanks so much for your vlogs Emma, they are wonderful!
What a super idea putting in your planner follow on crops ❤
You are doing a great job . I learned to day garlic you leve in for 24 months to get good results
Try laying some holly branches over the peas to keep the mice off.
Hi very entertaining video I promoted your tee shirt with yours permission of cause have a blessed harvest as always happy gardening Richardx
I've seen it suggested elsewhere that one way to help stop the mice etc from taking your pea seeds before they grow in to plants is to place some lengths of mint twigs over to place where you planted the peas as the smell of the mint will mask the smell of the pea seeds [i.e. the planted peas]

With my luck the mint will root lol!
Thank you for sharing your videos with me
Looking forward for the planner will be very useful thanks Emma ❤
Definition of oing same thing over and over again and expecting a different result = GARDENING 😂😂
✂️ Definitely 👻 on the plot! 😜
Thanks Emma great work lovely video as always.
I was shouting as well I'll be well surprised if the poor lad survived if it's not broke don't fix it
Is anyone else shouting at the screen ....please don't dig him up, please don't dig him up. Please dont dig him up ...😅

I love a good old weed over. It is a nightmare with flippin weeds. I have been accidently looking after one.....😊
I’m just chuckling at Emma saying plants do better when you just leave them alone done they? The pumpkin agrees 😅
My dad always said that the more you neglect a plant, the more it thrives! Also, it felt bloomin freezing here all day in Wiltshire, not like summer at all, I don’t know if my tomatoes will survive if we don’t get some proper warmth soon 😤 Your remaining dahlia is just lovely!

Haha! I think that's exactly right! My one dahlia is pretty stunning! x
I have had my allotment 20 weeks in that time I’ve had to transfer my pumpkins( I have 4) 3 different times every time chicken manure pallets fish blood and bone and a good bit of farm yarn manure and I’m happy to say they didn’t sulk wilt or anything they are all going strong obviously next year I plan to plant them where there going to stay but this year has been constantly having to change plans as we’ve been learning what and where plants do bests so I’ve just had to bite the bullet and do it the final time was when I saw your arch way I ordered one that night and the next day it was in I can’t wait to see if it works thanks for the inspiration you have shared ❤
I can listen to your accent all day. I like your style of gardening. Did the pumpkin make it?
Emma, please try not to put pressure on yourself to be the 'pefect gardener influencer'. I think I can safely speak for so many when I say your realness is a big part of why you're so popular and out of all the MANY KZreadrs I'm subscribed to, across multiple genres, YOU are my favorite channel.
Mind you the pigeons love pea seed too.
My problem isn't the slugs and snails so much, its the blooming foxes and badgers digging everywhere, in my potatoes, beetroot, peas and jumping on my netting squashing what's underneath
Let it grow - small stake - angled to the net - leave nets on - but this is recorded 4 days ago so there is very little point commenting. Who dares wounds😂❤ content creator risk😂❤

My wife loved her flowers, but I used to say why don't you plant them with wheels on? They were forever on the move too!
Hi Emma regarding your dilemma regarding what to sow next for continuation I had the same problem with my allotment so I stayed to sow winter veggies I'd Brussels cabbage etc hope this helps take care Kevin
covers eyse at pumpkin horror, I'd leave it to get longer then tie it in... nah it'll be fine it'll grow :)
Be careful where u put ya weeds, I have been making the mistake on dumping them on a pile I have and they have taken root starting growing again🤦♀️
i have to grow all my peas in modules or the mice or rats would have them
❤ Hi Emma ❤
Another good video Emma. My dhalias at home in Somerset are great but at the allotment plot they cannot grow as being nibbled as soon ad they appear! Hugely frustrating.
@emmasallotmentdiaries
2 күн бұрын
Oh no! The ones in my home garden are also being nibbled 😂😂
How many days per week do you work the allotment? Or is it just random? Maybe divide the allotment into that many segments and only do things in that segment on the given day. No distraction, except if there is a disaster.
Have you tried the woollen slug “pellet s”?
I never have success with sugar snaps either. So I grow string beans. I just ordered some Asian long beans. Grew them last year, did good with those. But good luck trying again. I don't have that kind of patience 😊

I'm sowing them in a module now and they have all germinated so fingers crossed I get at least one snap pea this year! Haha! x
Divide your time at the allotment for vlogging days and get stuck in days

Hi Emma I had the same thing happened to me .
The helicopter dropped your scissors for you 😂
❤❤❤
How do you edit your videos?
Wow you
❤
👍👍👍👍👍
👍💚🚁
Twazockpants?! 😂
You said: this is weedy cos I didn't cover it. Then you weeded. And didn't cover it... That's what they were shouting from the helicopter... Plot looks great. Weeds? Huh. Just compost waiting to happen! your reserve stock...
Emma, unrelated to the allotment(im a silent regular here) but....are you a fellow swiftie too? Couldnt work out what it says on your friendship bracelets but its a very Taylor swift fan thing to have on 😅

Einstein can sometimes be heard singing songs from the red album.
The mice are eating your pea seeds, they are known for doing this and you do have mice on your plots 😏
NO! NO! NO! DONT MOVE THE PUMPKIN! Oops, too late, you moved the pumpkin. Let's see how it does.
