Feel So Bad Little Milton Guitar Lesson

Музыка

This is my second lesson on Little Milton, hope you'll also check out my lesson on "The Blues is Alright" on Malaco Records. I love his Malaco period, and I love his stuff on Bobbin, but most folks would agree that as far as blues goes "Little Milton Sings Big Blues" and his time at Chess is probably 'the best of the best', since all the periods are superlative! I spent a lot of time on the rhythm guitar playing-- good luck and have fun! There are sections in the video for you to play along either on rhythm or lead, so grab your axes! 00:00 - Awesome record, Phil Upchurch
01:22 - The Rhythm Part for the verses
06:24 - Play Your Own Lead to the rhythm part
07:30 - Rhythm Part for the Solo and Outro
09:49 - Solo demo over a loop
11:05 - Little Milton fills and solo

Great video Johnny! Check out the Lowell Fulson version. That one has my favorite groove. We stole that for our live repertoire.

Little Milton Sings Big Blues is one of my favorite LP's of all time. Milton was a superb guitarist and vocalist.

The bassist on Little Milton's LP "Sings Big Blues" is Roosevelt Williams according to the liner notes. I love his playing on this LP, especially on Have Mercy Mercy Baby. I cannot find any information on him at all. Do you know who he played with or any other recordings that he played on?

@@JohnnyBurginBlues Thanks Johnny. He sounds like a jazz based player to me. Most of those old blues records don't even list the players , so it's hard to know who played what.
