My two male piggies' morning seems to start as soon as anyone comes down the stairs because they start wheeking in demand for food. This happens as it's become their routine for them to be fed a fresh portion of nuggets and a big mound of hay in morning.

I’m so glad to hear that Phoebe is feeling better and putting some weight back on. Loved seeing Callie and Phoebe all snuggly in their hide. I think they are turning out to be each other’s BFF. The new room lay out is an improvement, I think. No glare for you, and the piggies can enjoy the beautiful view. 🩷🩷🩷💙

I wonder if they would react to birds of prey flying outside. Obviously they've never had to worry about any such thing in their lives, but I could imagine them to have an innate fear of them?

One of my piggies had calcium sludge, had a bladder flush op 2 yrs ago, I decided then not to give pellets at all, they live on fresh grass virtually every day, and a selection of different hays. I give them low calcium with high vit c veggies, just a handful daily. They have plenty of exercise daily , I offer her water in a syringe every day too, so far no more bladder problems 😊😊

My guinea pig uses a litter box. It is super helpful. It makes it easier for me to clean her cage.

aww, this reminds me of the piggy i used to have when i was less than 10 years old. she'd eat cucumber so fast she'd have little hiccups and my mom would yell at her jokingly to slow down ahahah!

So sweet seeing Callie and Phoebe together in hide especially when dear Phoebe stretched and yawned. What a sweetie she is. My girls love each other but just couldn't bear to be that close which is a shame.

They are just SO SWEET, PRECIOUS PIGGIES, Phoebe is a little doll!! Bless those little creatures, what a wonder creation is!! God is AWESOME!!😊

Hi Sarah here my morning routine if am at work I get up at 7.15am or later if off work it piggie check my breakfast piggie breakfast change water too fresh hay dog walking piggie floor time during this time I will do lap time brush them if needed i do a weight check once a week trim but hair as I have a long haired Guinea pig only when needed normal every 3 weeks he hates it give more hay pellets then work when am off work it’s pretty much the same but floor maybe later and 2nd floor time at tea time on my days off. Happy phoebe doing well

Your piggies are all very beautiful. I have an older piggy who was continually having bladder problems so I took her off all pellets and she has had no problems since. I don’t know if it’s just coincidence or not but I think I’ll leave her off pellets. I give her lots of vegetables instead.

My grandma and I went into our pet store for pellets today. And they had 3 piggies. The youngest is kinda being picked on. And when I set down to look into the cage, he came and looked at me. My friends work there, and they wasted NO time getting him into my arms. He kissed my nose, then popped my chin and snuggled in I have 3 boys right now. But sadly one had to go into his own space 2 months ago. My grandma is trying to get me to go get this baby piggie for him. She said seeing me with the baby sold her lol. Now, the thing about this pet store, they do a good job with guinea pigs. And 2 have piggies of their own. They are well cared for, and they do a good job with them.

Thank you for this video, Sarah! It is very helpful as I am still dealing with the blind piggy that was recently "given" to us. My morning routine is the same except I give her a "mixed" salad of assorted greens, mixed with some tiny bits of carrots & broccoli, cucumber & couple of pepper strips. She gobbles it all down instantly. I try to stay with her and talk to her and stroke her gently but she still tries to bite me.☹ Love watching all your piggies.

Sarah it would be great if you could do a video on bladder issues and if possible cystitis in particular and what you do to manage this. And do you have any tricks to encourage piggies to drink more water? Our bladder pig doesn't seem to drink much at all so I water veggies and supply cucumber throughout the day. Thank you

@@SqueakDreams , thankyou. Never thought it'd hit me so hard. He was such a big part of our life (live in our living room and mostly free roam, so lots of interaction). Now tasked with finding a new friend for my lone boy , good rescues seem few and far between 😔

I see your pigs have a shared food/water dish, but i place their food and water on the opposite ends of the cage bc otherwise they get water in their food and it crumbles and they wont eat it

What kind of cage do you have?

You don’t seem to have a ‘toilet’ for your piggies?? I have two boys and they have two small crates with puppy pee pads and they are very good. Pigs do all their pees in them. And a lot of poops! They have a roof on which is covered and the boys love jumping up on them to watch the world go by!

How did you get your guinea pigs used to the camera?

If chewing a lot and eating it best to take it out, a cardboard "chube" might be better - both types tend to get dirty easily and only last so long, fleece tunnels are washable and last much longer 😊

How did you know Phoebe was having bladder problems?

Started with typical signs of a urinary tract infection (UTI), clearly visible blood in her urine, soaking wet bottom, her not being herself. The UTI is treated but she's had ongoing problems with bladder sludge (hence diet changes to reduce calcium intake) and incontinence - she cannot pee on her own still so we are hoping for further tests to reveal what's going on.
