Good to see and hear from you again Ted. Interesting video and it worked OK being one handed! Once a day feeding? What is the liquid you added at the start of the loading process? Is the corn cracked or treated in some other way to help digestion and if not don't you see whole grains coming through in the dung? After you finish loading about how long do you allow it to mix to get a good blend before actually feeding it out to the cows? Hope your weather is not too severe for you and your livestock in the next few months.

we do only feed once a day... feed calves in the am and then older animals later in the day seems feeding the cows later will make them calve durring the day. the corn is cracked (ran though a roller mill) the liquid is a molasses base and has minerals in it to help the cattle digest pretty high in protein and as far as feed mixing time it all varies how big the load is and what is all in the load. large high roughage rations take longer to mix than a high grain ration. but only a few min generally. thanks for the comment

Ted do you build your own ration for the different groups or do you have someone else and do you have to sample and test all the ingredients? Thanks for sharing and good to hear from you again 👍

I do have a nutritionist make the rations I do go get most my own samples and give them to him and he sends them in. Testing feed is important you can’t believe how different the same crop can be
