Feeding Bass the Biggest Shad Ever!

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

Before this video, I went cast netting to catch food for the fish and caught this giant gizzard shad. This was by far the largest shad I had ever seen and the bass devoured it when I cut it into chunks.

The Sharpness of your camera during the slo-mo's is beyond spectacular. I could literally feed those fish everyday and it would be the best stress reliever hands down.

I think it’s because of evolution. Humans progressed from bla, bla, fish and fish like eating, since it lets them survive. Fish like it. Humans evolved from fish, therefore we must’ve slightly taken that evolution trait from fish

On November 24th I caught (snagged with a jerkbait) a 19-1/2” 3lb 4oz shad...in northern Illinois. We only have a spear & bow fishing state record for shad which is 3lbs 2ozs so sadly it doesn’t count ☹️ but I know I own that damn record lol if anyone’s interested I can make a slide show from the pics and uploaded it to KZread and post the link. 10 likes or 4 comments and I’ll do it lol

Your videos are awesome. I have seen fish accustomed to being fed. Every other year my mom will take me and my brother back to Illinois and one of the ponds by my grandparents house has a gazebo and in 2017 when we were there I noticed that the sunfish would follow me from one side to the other, and not just regular sized sunfish there were some in the 11-12 inch range and probably weighed about 1.5 lb. I instantly recognized that they followed me because they were expecting bread just like ducks and geese would. Absolutely insane and yet amazing.

Ok. I wasn’t sure. I go to a campsite where I live and people feed the deer all summer long so they can see them in the mornings and so the deer come up close to their properties. And then in the winter they leave the camp ground and the deers literally starve. They get so skinny. It really makes me upset. Its hard enough for them as is in the winter. Thx for the comment.

@@ryanharrod1155 fish are adaptive and opportunists, if they see that scheduled feeds fetch them easy food, esp basically hung above their mouths, they'd wait a bit to be fed. But these fish are perfectly capable of hunting on their own, this is just an easy bonus
