The magpie-lark (Grallina cyanoleuca) is a conspicuous Australian bird of small to medium size, also known as the mudlark in Victoria and Western Australia, the Murray magpie in South Australia, and as the peewee in New South Wales and Queensland. It had been relegated to a subfamily of fantails in the family Dicruridae (drongos), but has been placed in a new family of Monarchidae (monarch flycatchers) since 2008.
It is a common and very widespread bird both in urban and rural areas, occupying all parts of Australia except for Tasmania and some of the inland desert in the far north-west of Western Australia, and appears to have adapted well to the presence of humans. It is also found in southern New Guinea.
If you find an injured or sick native animal please contact your local wildlife rescue group. These volunteers are trained to care for native species.
Anybody can become a wildlife carer. For more information go to www.fnpw.org.au/resources/wild...
Go on! give 'em a hand

Here in South Australia we call them Murray magpies, but I don't suppose the bird cares. As long as it gets fed. Thank you for watching. Have a lovely day and keep up the good work. Von (ˆ◡ˆ)

Feed it little bits of minced meat, dipped in water, on the end of a blunt toothpick. feed it little and often. If possible find a wildlife professional to care for it. Von (•◡•)

He’s a peewee, he can’t eat those things, he can eat snails, lizards, crickets and when he’s older possibly mice. I crushed some snails for him and just put it on the end of my finger. He wouldn’t eat it off anything else.

Store bought meat isn’t very healthy for them. But thank you anyways :)

OK! As long as it stays alive
This isn't a Murray magpie it is a mud lark ( or magpie lark) you can tell by the white near and around the eye magpies don't have white on there face 😀
