I hate it when people say he didn't prove himself. He defeated UFC champions in their prime and not just once. He had amazing come backs, he defeated K1 champions 3 feet taller than him and he has been no. 1 for 10 years... Show some respect people. No one is bashing on Jordan for not performing as well with Utah Jazz as he did with the Bulls that doesn't mean the NBA was worse when he was the best it just means that he aged like any other human being.

"I do not consider myself to be a great fighter" Who in the UFC would ever say that? This is why Fedor is my favorite fighter and why he should be considered the people's champ, (*cough*cough*) Tito...

Wow! There is so huge cultural difference in this interview. One humble guy with normal view o the world, focused on his profession. And the world of narcistic "autorealisation", fixated on phrases like "greatness" , "power" , "carrier"; where the way they look on MMA fighters reminds me how pagan ancient Greeks were looking at heroes in their mithology, additionally covered in social-darwinistic sauce.

It'll show the advertisement before the video for some reason but then when the ad is over it'll say I need some plug-in. Dana and UFC simply have an enormous branding machine behind them so they can make their fighters MUCH more recognized than other organizations. ALL IT WOULD TAKE IS FOR DANA TO ARRANGE A ONE FIGHT DEAL, WITHOUT HAVING TO OWN FEDOR, THEN FEDOR WOULD FIGHT ANYONE WHO IS A LEGITIMATE CHALLENGE TO HIM.

thats exactly what people want. to see the best fighters fight each other. the monoploly of ufc actually works brilliantly for fight fans as fighters dont have the oppurtunity to duck each other and so we get to see the best fight the best unlike boxing where fighters are constanlty avoiding each other to prolong thier riegns as champion to incresase the paydays

In fact, Brett Rogers is probably more suited to fight Brock, and Fedor take winner lol... In the end maybe a big league like UFC is the way to go like NBA, seems to work for them. How about LeBron vs Fedor?

Guy's, Fedor's got a contract with M-1 for another 4 fights, after that he can do whatever he likes so just chill for a year (while he smashes everyone in strikeforce) and then he'll be fighting anyone you like! Fedor is the best fighter ever bar none! He's way beyond anyone in the UFC abd abyone who knows MMA knows that!

This man is a true champion, he takes defeat with class and you know hes going to be back again. When asked how he feels about his opponent, he doesnt talk trash, he just states "he is a tough fighter and i will try my best to beat him". Unlike that peice of shit lesnar who called mir a motherfucker and berated him in the ring after beating him, showing what a classless fucktard he is. Fedor will always be the greatest fighter of all time in my opinion.

true. Here UFC says if Fedor wants to be the best he needs to prove it in UFC. However, Fedor in an interview with BODOG mentioned he doesn't consider himself the best and doesn't want to be counted as the best, clearly he doesn't care which is a good thing. Dana knows fedor is the best he doesnt' want to admit it now because he wants fedor to sign with him, then Dana will say Fedor is the best. Dana will say "move over Lesnar, Fedor is the man, you're not #2".

Surprised to see so many negative comments about Fedor as if he did something wrong, he's a big boy and can decide whatever he wants. As far as I'm concerned, he already proved whatever he needed to prove so giving this "you need to fight the best to be the best" doesn't make sense, not in case of UFC and not against Lesnar. Give it a time and don't judge too quickly, we'll see some very good fights with Fedor.

Fedor is now signed to Strikeforce. I guess his greedy manager actually convinced them to the co-promotional deal that Dana White rejected. I would've rather seen him in UFC for sure, but Strikeforce does have some decent fighters as well. Brett Rogers or Alistair Overeem could both present a good challenge for Fedor. But hopefully he will still come to the UFC in the future, Brock vs. Fedor needs to happen.

B)Get more lucrative guys who once fought in Pride and other fighters who are popular among hardcore fans like Shinya Aoki, Takanori Gomi, Paulo Filho, Hayato Sakurai, Jacare and Gegard Mousasi thats just the few. Back to the subject at hand the UFC is not going to bankrupt themselves for this fighter if hes not playing ball, then its not worth it.

He even said it himself that he wants to honour his M1 Global contract which has 3 fights remaining on it and then hopefully he is UFC bound. 1 of those fights was against Rogers so he has 2 more fights. (Werdrum and Overeem) and then we will see him in the UFC by the end of 2010 to prove he is the best mma fighter on the planet. All hail the last emperor!

People are saying Fedor is scared of Brock but I think it's just that Fedor doesn't like how Dana White runs things. And besides I'd say Brett Rogers poses about as much a threat to him as Brock would. Rogers is 10-0 all knockouts and he laid Arlovski out quicker than Fedor. Brock is only 4-1 despite being the champ. I honestly think he's overhyped for how green he still is. Fedor definitely ain't scared of nobody.

I meant there should be a 205 - 235 division because it's pretty stupid to put guys that size against someone Brock's size. The weight difference in brackets goes, 15lbs, 15lbs, 20lbs, then 60lbs.. that's a big jump, that's why they should add another bracket. Right now it's just a monster manhandling people smaller than him.

Dana wants Fedor, although he wont admit he's the best, he knows he's the best or he wont be this crazy to sign him up..
