Federal Signal STH-10: Attack for Tribute Sound Off - Islip, NY 5/17/2020

This STH-10 belongs to the Islip Fire Department and is located at the corner of Commack Road and the North Sunrise Hwy Service Rd. It is used for all general calls and "echo" rescue calls along with their Modulator 4016 at HQ which I recorded on April 5th. Neither of them test. Thanks for watching!
Amid the COVID-19 Pandemic, some fire departments are sounding off their audibles as a salute to healthcare workers putting their lives on the line for their patients.

I don’t know if you ever come to jersey but there is a small town called island heights which I in the middle of the state and they have the STH-10 siren and it packs a good punch. So if you happen to be in that area I recommend you hear it go off.

Thank you for sending me that link for the North Babylon 1988 video. It was so nice to hear Babylon''s horns the way they sounded . It was an Ambulance call. 2 blows and a minute later 2 more blows.

Paulie l According to a family member I asked, It was on the other side before they redid sunrise hwy, then they replaced it when they moved it. And the 3T22 that was at HQ was replaced by the modulator while they were renovating the building because they wanted something “newer and better”

@@linysirenfirebuff4786 Here is some information you you never knew. Bay Shore had a Model 7 in a woods at the end of Joseph St. It was in a woods along side of Brentwood Rd we played in as kids. I would hear this along with the STH 10 at the firehouse around the corner. I would say all the time this model 7 was not needed since the Sth 10 was so close by. I remember the other kids on the street broke the power box at the siren and it stopped working.

@@linysirenfirebuff4786 All Bay Shore's firehouses had Sth- 10s back in the 70s. Thats why It was strange they had a model 7 alone in the woods.
On google maps there is only a north and south sunrise highway service road. No west?
