My Federal Electric Type B This siren was used as a fire siren here in Norway, it was active until about 2012 so it was in operation for almost 100 years

Turns out you are correct. These types of Type Bs are 1st Gens. They had a production run from 1918 to 1922, so I guess you could consider that WW1.

It has been used as a fire siren at a silicon plant for about 100 years. it has 15 ports and not very powerful motor, 2-3 horsepower.

No, Cleaned the motor and oiled the bearings.

They are quiet sirens. They are like 2-3 hp iirc.

I think there is dual tone on some other generations, but have only seen 15/15 on Generation 1 as this is

@@oklol30 they aren't 16/16. Type Bs came in 15/15 and I think 9 or 10 port. They also made these early ones in a dual sided dual tone config, with what was probably a 9 or 10/15 on both sides (15/10/10/15??)

there is a dual toned one at the pooletown vfd, NC I accidentally found it and discovered it was a dual toned B apparently there is another somewhere but who knows.
