Thank you for this! I just found your channel through your Dandelion Dynasty review, then subscribed and clicked this video. I sat straight up when I saw the French book, as I also use French for work and need to practice. On the off chance, I searched for this one on my rural library's website. They have a tiny French books sections, but lo and behold, they have a copy of this one. It is now on hold for me. Thanks so much for mentioning this one!

I hope this book works well for us both! I found the other book I read from him engaging although it was quite long and the language was accessible to read. I've tried reading some other books in French that have been quite descriptive and it felt like I was constantly looking up bizarre words

ugh! that’s annoying- that only the first three books have been published in the UK so far. i can relate.. sometimes i feel like wanting to read 10 books at once but can’t decide which of those to pick up and actually start with. which sometimes results in me reading something completely different and random. it’s how i just ended up with starting the black jewels “trilogy”.. did not know it would be so dark and cruel. 😳 but i’m curious to learn where the story is headed. just started with the second book. i hope whatever you’ll end up reading in february is a great read! happy reading, abby! 💜

I'm nearly done with CC3 and made so much progress over the weekend but life has been hectic this week

Heck yes, I have also succumbed to the House of Flame and Shadow hype and will be starting it tomorrow. My reread of book 2 was so much fun, I definitely liked it more the second time around. On a more somber note, binged the Atlas series in January and that was... interesting. My reread of book 1 went from a 5 star to a 3.5 star, and it just crashed and burned after that. Like, I am not mad, just disappointed lmao. Hope you have better luck with it! 🤞 Happy reading, and hope you enjoy your vacation if you do end up going hahah 🤪🥰

Oh no!! I was looking at the ratings on Goodreads for book 3 of the Atlantics series and they are shockingly low...it makes me very nervous to continue

I'm in the same boat - most of my physical TBR is first books in series so getting it down while also prioritizing continuing series will be a slower process. I'm in denial about the contradictory goals haha

It is a personal thought of mine that if I can't make up my mind between two or more choices it is just because they are very similar, so it does not matter what I chose. I then think I will just pick what I think is best and get on with it and be happy. It either turns out ok or not. I can't criticise myself because there was not much difference in my choices. if there was a big difference then the original choice would have been easier. Just a thought. Best wishes.

I have the same problem with reading down my physical tbr. Read a book, but then need to buy the sequel 😅

I really enjoyed Merlin as well! Please do get to the Winter King, I have the trilogy and if it's any good, I will start on them. It's so frustrating!! I've ordered books 2 and 3 in the US style but they are taking ages to arrive!

Merlin tv show is one of my absolute favs too! My plan is to finish tress of the emerald sea and read yellowface, other than that , i am going through my physical TBR in a read it or unhaul type of challenge for a few books to see if they are something for me or its time for me to let it go. Im very curious to see what you end up reading!

I relate with your annoyance about the Veronica Speedwell series. I read quite a few Dutch translations of English books as Dutch is my native language, but for some reason they always stop translating after book two. Why? Especially if it's a trilogy, it's only one more book. I hate having to switch languages mid-series
