I was in similar situations 3 years ago. In a much better place now and determined to NEVER DO THAT AGAIN. At 62 years old, I can't afford to be stupid twice. You are doing great, keep it up. There is an end to the tunnel..one step at a time.

OK, so one thing that might help you when you’re counting your money to make sure you have all of it on your ones either use it or band paper clip of it should be a binder clip or get some of the wrappers from the bank and count out 50 1’s and put them in a bundle of 50 and you already have those counted at the end. Another thing you can do is use smaller paper paper clips to hold together 5 ones that way when you start counting at the end, you can just pick up 10 of those stacks put them together and it would be a 50 stack. I am going to have a step cash stuffing I have not as of yet, but videos up my first cash stuffing video should be after April 1. I’ll probably put one up before that explaining what my channels gonna be all about.

I am stressed and scared over having 5k worth of debt and struggling to pay it off. I started this binder to help with it. But I wouldn’t know where to start if I had 50k worth of debt. I wish you the best on this journey. They should really teach about debt and credit cards in school.

We definitely didn’t do the right things when we were younger and tended to just bury our heads in the sand when it came to debt. I definitely wish I’d learned a lot more in school about all of this. Could have saved me a lot!

My kiddo is in middle school and they offer in elective financial literacy i wish it were a required course because my kiddo doesn’t have room in her schedule to take it . I took living on your own in high school we Lee fed how to balance a checkbook basic taxes and unit price idk why that stuck with me but that was the closet to finical literacy they had and again electives not required

@@sydneysmith1921 I was lucky I had an elective to take that taught me about how to do my taxes, applying for jobs, budgeting, and credit cards. It taught me the basics as it was only a semester long course. Once I finished that class I dropped out of high school and got my GED

Dave Ramsey has a homeschool program you can get that’s geared to young people. It’s offered in a lot of Christian schools also. May be something you want to look into for your kids! Mine learned so much from it!

Love the backdrop! ❤ not loud at all 😊 Also your counting is not atrocious 😂😂😂 you got this! It is depressing when it all goes to bills 😞 BUT you are working hard so that one day it won't have to! Edit: I follow some of Dave's advice but of course modify it to fit my current situation & goals. I'm still paying down debt (only 2 more to go!) but also trying to create more of a balance so i don't burn myself out. 😅

That's so crazy you have to pay for school lunches! In Vermont we have universal lunches and all students get free breakfast and lunch!

That’s great they do that! We had the free lunches for a couple years after Covid but I think it was 2022 or 2023 that they officially ended it unless you qualified for free/reduced lunch.
