Features and Specifications of the ZERO Modular Shellholder System

As we have done round after round of press testing, both with the ZERO and other presses, we have known that the very best way to get consistent sizing time and again is to have contact between the shellholder and the die. This removes your ability, however, to dial in your shoulder bump - until now. With the new ZERO Modular Shellholder System you can set up your shellholder to your die and have more consistency, more repeatability, and less hassle. It’s a win-win-win.

please make the .338LM claw. (.585") i'll order a zero press and this set when you do!
Yes!!! Finally. Can’t wait to get mine in the mail this week.
.585 claw is on my wish list
another fantastic product
Just ordered mine!
Received my shell holders last week for use in my Zero, but was sad to see there's only one inset to bump the shoulder further. Most of the inserts here create less shoulder bump. In my humble opinion, this may be missing a large portion of the market looking for a solution to shoulder bump. Specifically Redding die users seem to have a frequent problem of not bumping the shoulder back far enough, even when using full contact/cam over. Please consider adding inserts that allow us to bump the shoulder MORE, not less! Otherwise, it's an awesome product!

I see you posted this months ago, but... I'm pretty sure you have that backwards. The + marked inserts increase headspace, meaning you are bumping your shoulders back further. Bumping shoulder more = increasing headspace. @Area419, is that correct?

this tool reduces the amount of shoulder bump by a set a mount, hence the + sign. OP is correct, only the - unit increases shoulder bump

And here is the reason for my comment above about more and less bump...
So after just using a couple of times the magnet fell out of my tool adapter...yes I know some super glue etc but dang. As far as efficacy....this is about as good as the Redding system I have. You are still going to have to play with your dies though regardless if you are trying for specific amount of bump. Worth is like beauty....it's in the eyes of the beholder 👀
MA FL dies are .004 under and precision machined. We also offer the FLHS die for dialing in case head space.?
Did I see somewhere that you need to remove the rubber washer from the Zero press when your use this system?
Doing great work men. I have a Forrester Axial Press. You get your press accurate like the Forrester and I’ll buy one! Your machining is top but the Forrester still leads in accurate seating for precision shooting.

For a lack of better terms, don’t go full ugga dugga, tightening it. Ordered!
Excited to see this finally released. Do you guys suggest a small degree of cam over with the Zero and these holders? Or just barely touching? Placed my order today.

We still like that added pressure suggested when setting up dies. Helps ensure positive and consistent contact over time.
know this might sound silly, but a diagram showing whats +2 and whats -2 as far as the shoulder is concerned on a case, aka show for people whats more bump, +2 and whats less bump. product question, does that case with the parts come with some sort of lid/top to make sure they stay inside... "just my OCD" and not wanting to loose anything
I know you don't make it yet but I'd like a Norma Magnum claw. Pretty please!!
I’m having an issue with sizing my brass enough with your modular shell holder system on my zero press. The issue I’m running into is it isn’t giving me enough shoulder bump. I started with the die (an RCBS matchmaster bushing sizing die) contacting the shell holder, zeroed my calipers on a piece of brass, and sized the piece of brass. The brass came out 4 thousandths longer (which I know happens if you aren’t sizing enough). I tried every insert and couldn’t get the brass to size any further. I then screwed the die in further like I do on a traditional press to try to increase shoulder bump and I still wasn’t able to get it to size any further even after going a full rotation. I then took the same die and put it in my RCBS rockchucker and was able to get the shoulders bumped 2 thousandths without issue. Any suggestions? I really want to be able to size on my zero press but I can’t get this figured out.
How will one "claw" be able to used for multiple calibers? How will it allow them to be centered in the resizing dies?

Many cartridges share common bolt face sizes. 308, 6.5 Creedmoor, 270 Win, 6 Dasher - all use exactly the same bolt face so use the same shellholder size.
I'm pretty sure it is but can you confirm that its inherit in the design that we don't need to readjust the "cam over" on the Zero Press when changing inserts? Or in other words the cam over pressure stays the same?
@area419
2 жыл бұрын
You should not have to re-adjust your dies, no. While we can't guarantee the spec of the shellholders these replace, these use the standard spec/size that should be drop-in replacement for your RCBS/Redding/etc
Does the tool come standard? My set came without the tool. Just shot you guys an email. Regardless - Im loving mine and getting super consistent bump (especially after brass has fully grown to the chamber after a few firings and the ones that dont grow properly sorted out).

Im talking about the little silver thing to hold on to the shell holder. That didnt come with my press or my shell holder kit. The torque wrench did. Spoke with the guys at Area419 and one coming my way. Great service as always.

In one of your instructional videos, you briefly mentioned that the rubber o-ring needs to be removed before inserting the Zero modular shellholder system. Can you please confirm this, as it wasn't mentioned in this video. Thanks!
