Featured Artist: A Discussion with Leigh Matty (Romeo's Daughter)

Музыка

Host of Sonic Dorms, Max Davallo proudly welcomes lead vocalist of Romeo's Daughter: Leigh Matty to the show to discuss the impact music had on her at an early age, her time collaborating with legendary producer/songwriter Robert John "Mutt" Lange, as well as the upcoming new album from Romeo's Daughter.
Formed in the mid-80s, Romeo's Daughter was one of many bands that should've been huge, as they had the perfect combination of elements at their disposal.
To this very day, their debut album (released in 1988) is a hidden gem that continues to sound fresh & exciting.

Max, Leigh...... this was just majestic!!! One of the most enjoyable interviews I've ever heard. Informative, relaxed, insightful and utterly delightful. Huge RD fan since hearing Cry Myself in the Our Price in London Victoria station and finally managed to acquire a copy of the Alive CD this weekend. This made a fabulous start to the week!!! Bravo both of you 👏👏👏

Went to Manchester Apollo to see FM in concert in the late 80’s. RD were the support (Leigh was married to Merv their bass player). FM are great live but on that night RD blew them out of the water. And I told Leigh that 20yrs later when they played The Railway in Bromley Cross, Bolton.
