@@OscarH890 Not even close. Very talented producer, but AFX mastered a bunch of different styles and then rewrote the rule book and changed electronic music forever. Skee Mask is great but AFX is once or twice in a lifetime

@@jeanfrancoisnelson Shed is nothing big. Skee Mask from the first EP was way ahead of shed.. I'd say he's on the same level as AFX but now he's going even beyond that. ISS07 can't get here quick enough!

You need to do another version of this at his current studio!!

This dude is a beast and a real inspiration. Compro is an electronic masterpiece imo.

The tracks used in this video were just released from Skee mask on his bandcamp. It’s crazy seeing this video is 5 years old yet the track is almost brand new to the world.

Half nerd. This guy has the same mindset as myself and 99% of bedroom producers. Love this guy

Had the chance to take a pic with him like 8 years ago when he produced under his SCNTST alias, for the 10 years of Boys Noize Records in Paris. What a blast ! I'm more into techno nowadays so I'm following very close what he is producing as Skee Mask (and SCNTST seems pretty dead), Ilian Tape is such a gem of a label. This guy is so talented, many see him a Aphex Twin's son. Keep up the work !

@@kg_swe It's been a few months since pool. i will have to agree with you, Compro is a masterpiece from start to finish. Pool has some vibes that kinda shift away (in terms of mood) where Compro (and shed, too) are solid all the way and feel like a complete "story" all beautiful music, nonetheless from a Master at work ! !

@@kozmicflush980 I think Compro is a far superior album to Pool. Don't get me wrong, I think Pool is great. But Compro has so much beauty to it. Thematically it vibes from front to back so fucking nicely. Its a true masterpiece. Also I think Pool actually suffers from having too many tracks. Too many ideas, its not very cohesive.

This guy is a genius, saw him live at the cause a couple years back with Bruce and was mesmarised, also his compro album is number one for me. Baffles me how young he is. To see him here and the way he talks about sound, truly an inspiration.

I didn't dig much last year, but the Compro release is something else and definitely one that stood out and I keep coming back to listen.

Skee Mask is the closest thing to a musical hero I've ever had.

Can't stop watching this vid, it has a vintage glow which combined with Bryan's music is so magical.

Very cool, he's my new favorite artist after I discovered him because of a track my friend in New Delhi shared. It was 'Session Add' from Compro. It's been 3 weeks now and I keep going back to that album, I cried in my car when listening to 'Via Sub Mids'. More power to Skee Mask :)

Omfg I thought I was the only one getting insanely emotional listening to Via Sub Mids. I will never get tired of that track, could listen to it forever.

Just absolutely incredible levels of production.

Big up Skee Mask!!! I first heard of SM on his track, Routine, and was floored. Compro is a huge album.

I love how the editors went for grading the cut all the way as green as the mix you roll in paper mate 🌿 You're a legend 🚀

really enjoyed this, reminded me a lot of Burial with his approach to constructing sounds, probably why this music is so evocative.

Yeah I guess it's just an unreleased track of his. He is releasing an LP next year so there's a chance it could be on that but honestly I doubt it.

@@Damastius Wasn't featured on LP3. However, in the description of "Image is Everything Pt 3" he said he may begin to release Early/unreleased Skee Mask material. That's our best bet to maybe find this tune (if it's even him)
