I personally love the lips cos it makes them look like if you crossed a monitor lizard with an eagle or some other bird of prey. Looks incredibly intimidating. Looks like a full on mythical creature, but a real animal at the same time

​​@@flightlesslord2688I am 100% sure they had lips.They were not crocs but more like birds.And their teeths were only 4 inches which is very easy to hide under their lsrge lips

I feel like the Yutyrannus/human kill animation may have been inspired by the kill in Prehistoric Planet with the Quianzosaurus (sp?) and the Corythoraptor.

I can already see myself using the Yukon river and Sonoran desert as a winter and a summer coat for the Yutyrannus.

Yutyrannus seems like the peacock of the carnivores fittingly enough. Quite frail but makes up for it with how flashy and over-the-top it acts

Yuty actually has a unique kill animation for herbivores like dracorex

As an fyi, scavengers was added in the previous update to encompass Compy, Oviraptor, Moro's, and Ceolophysis (I think I butchered that) for some reason as carnivores that will play the role Compsognathus had for most of the game as animals able to be shoved just about anywhere.

The Yutyrannus has to be one of the most well designed animals Frontier has mafe so far. Its absolutely gorgeous. AND IT HAS LIPS!!

I don't think i've ever been so excited to watch one of these previews

They should make dinosaurs interact with the Viewing Galleries for the next free update.That would be cool! Also can’t wait to get my PC to play JWE2

They're so cool! And so violent with some of those animations, which is also cool. They are kinda adorable sometimes, too, look at them sleeping!

I think we can all agree that Deinochierus is the biggest omnivore the world has ever seen.

@MinorLover69 feel like that might go in the same line as some herbivores animals eating meat on occasion so I wouldn't really put that as omnivores like Deinocheirus where we have found plenty of fish and plant remains to show it may have been a regular diet but it's just my thought

The way Yutyrannus slides to the ground when pouncing the human reminds me a lot of when the Qianzhousaurus takes down the corythoraptor in Prehistoric Planet

This really is a gorgeous dinosaur... I love the color accents on the face

I like how they really tried to make it look accurate, even the size. I kinda wish they made it a bit oversized just because it looks quite small compared to everything else, haha

I feel the same with Australovenator

I think this thing has another unique animation when killing the pachycephalosaurus, dracorex and stygimoloch that everyone other than DrgGaming managed to miss

My only real complaint with the Yutyrannus is the part in the goat kill where it swallows the goat whole. I think they should have had it throw the goat down after shaking it like it does with the Homalocephale or human kills. Apart from that I think it is excellent.

Interesting fact, Yutyrannus was originally going to appear in Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous but that idea was scrapped for having it to appear in that show.

Can we at least get a setting for passive Hadrosaurs. This is ridiculous. It's like a bear taking down an elephant.

Yutyrannus is 100% my cat. She's fluffy and so determined to murder that she will get overcome by her own clumsiness. I will definitely be making the white one and naming her after my cat Toby lol

The ark player in me says damn wildcard made a weird design

I love the animation when it hunts the humans,also that white color with the black stripes is also my favorite! Beautiful dinosaur,great pack!

The Yutyrannus is amazing! But the highlight of the video for me is the guests still using the zipline, getting a great view of people getting munched and flung OMG It yeets them! The Yeetyrannus!

I wish they made some guests smart and they’d make corners and have a chance to avoid death and get away.

If you’ve got the update early, can I ask if they added skins to the BaBR Allosaurus variant with this patch?

It would have been so cool if the yuty when attacking a human misses and falls. But lunges it’s neck forward to grab the human then it gets up.

Looks super, will be a nice treat for me once im done with the 1st game. 👍 I wonder, do frontier devs touch on the other animals in their games to make them equal in quality of graphics, animations etc to their new dlcs, updates of improved additions?

To pay homage to Ark Survival Evolved, it would’ve been cool if Carnotaurus and Yutys got along

I think JWE2 is really underutilising their colours system. Like whats the point in having 3 different skin colours that are just different shades of brown? Why not include at least one base skin for each primary colour for more variety rather than just 3 white skins, 4 brown skins, a reddish skin, and a purple skin. It feels like thats all we've been getting for a while now, which is a shame Love the Yutyrannus other than that though, the skins we got are nice, the animations are good and pretty unique for a medium sized theropod, and the overal design is gorgeous

Yeah, sometimes the dinosaurs showcase it well but I do think the base skin colours are a little lacking with the Yuty.

Real large carnivores are ALWAYS camouflaged for their environment, NEVER garish. Therapods would have been modest browns, greens, and maybe grays. The most vivid thing you’d ever see would perhaps resemble a tiger.

@@accelerationquanta5816 True, but plenty of modern carnivores are vividly coloured, especially birds and reptiles. Plus this is JWE, if we can have bioluminescent parasaurs, a bright green yutyrannus or a hot pink Deinocheirus shouldnt be off the table

@@Paleonyx Only small ones, and they usually go after prey that have dogshit eyesight like fish, rodents, and bugs. The largest proper predatory lepidosaurs are komodo dragons and anacondas, which are plain grey and dark green respectively, and large predatory archosaurs are represented today only by crocodilians, which are grey-green with some countershading. Brown bears, black bears, and polar bears are all plain colors that work very well as camouflage in their respective environs. Certain snakes are brightly colored, but that's to ward off things that want to eat them. Lions are sandy colors that work perfectly in their savannah environment, etc. The most vivid things you'll see in large predators would be the spotted coats of leopards and jaguars or the stripes of tigers. The necessity of camouflage prevents any evolution of elaborate display coloration;though I suppose bright coloration that is hidden except when making a display is possible.

Personally I love when there’s a few similar skins for a creature because it adds subtle variation between individual creatures while keeping the same general color scheme.

Yuty looks like it loafs like a cat when it sits.

Hay im kinda confused are these mod or in game😅

Ahhhh, I love how bird like their hatchery animation is. They look sorta crazy, and its kinda freaky lol. They are stunning though. Overall they look frikin awesome, like a eagle mixed with a monitor lizard mixed with a big cat of some kind. Or in short, some sort of mythical dragon/gryphon. The textures are some of the best in the game. Its kills are very reminiscent of some birds like Seriamas, very cool. Like a bird.... sociopathic.

Isn't that funny? A reference to Tomo-chan in which the one is nuzzling the bottom, but the other makes him back away just like Jun tries to nudge Tomo's body, but she shoves him and scolds him. So romantic i guess.

the way it bashes it's prey around and against the ground is actually how a lotta birds make sure their prey is dead, which is terrifying

Agreed. Australovenator looks cool, but could use some improvement. Make it's kill animation like the Deinocheirus. It would be so funny.

I hate how there are hardly any Jill animations with other animals or they are just the same, like one bite and then Ragdoll mode, it’s boring asf
