Does it count as an assist? I thought assist was only given when the assisted player gets a few touches on the ball..

Can someone fill me in on why Kane's goal was given? It was offside clearly and the ball was not coming from an opponent who was directly trying to play it, am I missing something?

The ball did actually come from the opponent. There is a better angle showing it from behind the goal on the Sky Sports highlights. Hard to see otherwise tbf

The ball was played by the Augsburg defender in an attempt to clear it. The question isn’t if Kane was offside - he was - the question is who got the last touch before the goal, which was the Augsburg defender. Which plays the goal onside.

no way! upamecano has been so solid this season. if u really watch the games u woudln't be saying this. he pocketed the manchester united attack and has been doing great in every game except the franlfurt and leipzig ones. bayern need one defensive cb and one ball- playing cb, and nobody does ball-playing better than upa @@santiagoaguirre2438

It literally was. The lines were drawn and it was shown during the game, VAR checked it. He was marginally ahead of De Ligt. Stop crying when you didn’t watch the game.
