When Xabi was in Real Madrid playing against FC Barcelona learn alot now applying his experience which will be very very helpful

For example, this pragmatic out of possession football to dominate the field was coming from Mourinho himself, Benitez's usual counter-attacking play by placing a fast-paced striker such as either Torres or Dirk Kuyt was also implemented here. And this flexibility really is akin to Don Carlo's tactical masterpiece. Not to mention Luis Aragones' classic double-pivoting strategy in the midfield or that brilliant false-9 implementation by Del Bosque.

When he was still playing under Mourinho, I remember Mourinho saying even back then that Alonso will make a very good coach in the future because of his football IQ. Always looked forward to seeing if Jose was right and it seems he was.

Leverkusen is a team to watch next season if Wirtz stays and Xhaka comes in. Xabi already has solid foundation to build on.

Xabi himself said that he's not eager to leave make a big club leap yet, wants to sement his grounds to other teams and build a system of his own. He's been nothing but honest and humbled about his coaching unlike other big name players
I would love to see him at Real Madrid. But he still needs to stay in Germany for a little bit longer.

Everyone thinks that he will go to the Premier League. But Bayern Munich are on the verge of losing the title they have monopolized for the past decade. And Xabi did state he would stay for 1 more season with Leverkusen. I think Bayenr Munich will try to sign him, specially if his next season with Leverkusen actually takes them into Champions League spots. Interestingly Ancelotti will also stay for 1 more season in Real Madrid. So its either Bayern Munich doing their thing and stealing the talent of the other clubs in the Bundesliga. Or a return to Madrid. Also Liverpool aint sacking Klopp anytime soon, so that reunion has to wait.
