Banks lose lots of money on high dollar fraud from many guys like this to the everyday small dollar fraud that equates to massive amounts of losses to the bank. The bank rarely recoups the loss on fraud and is their largest expense. There are a lot of other ways banks lose money like any other business. They are also in business to make money like any other business so you have to look at the big picture!!
