Thank you for posting this!, I watched this when aired, very excited knowing she was in the U.K, I called Harrods to see if she would be making an appearance, turned out she was signing in Harrods London two days later, I managed to get a signed 1st edition copy from them, its that precious to me that I have never read it, kept it mint!, The 1933 Kong will forever be my favorite all time movie ever since childhood, this was actually broadcast on 10th Sept 1990, receipt is still in the book, Lee

Its hard to believe that Fay is around eighty years old in this interview, she looks so young and her mind is so sharp! She didn’t live to see the Peter Jackson version, but she did meet him and Naomi Watts shortly before it went into production. Apparently she was supposed to do a cameo appearance in the remake but she died just before they started filming which was a shame because it would have been great to see Fay Wray in the remake of King Kong over seventy years after the original.

Fay Wray's father was born in Kingston upon Hull, Yorkshire - the birthplace of my parents and grandparents. Why on earth didn't Terry Wogan ask her about her parents, childhood and how she got into acting? There was more to the lady than King Kong.

" To care is a great thing ".....yes.. and there are many who did care for the beautiful and unassuming Fay Wray. There were many good reasons that she was filmed in front of the camera for 57 years ! How beautiful she was in King Kong and so many other films.Long live her memory. RIP Miss Wray.

Well, in spite of the inept interview, Fay Wray looked to be in very good spirits in this 80's program. Wonderful actress, so dearly missed. Must have been around 80, or close to it, at the time. Still looked good, though.

Yes, she was and very classy to continue sitting there after he insulted her name, calling it silly. The only silly one was him!

I'm really glad I got to see this interview even though that dope Wogan was a little annoying in how he spoke to her..Almost patronising in some ways..eejit!!! She was wonderful though..You could still see the young Fay Wray in her as she moved on the seat at times..Very sweet woman even then..thnx for posting..I think anyone who was lucky enough to act in films or on stage with her may have had a hard time not falling for her charms..She was a truly beautiful woman imho. Wanna find her films

I used to always cringe at Wogan’s interviews and this is no exception. He had a knack for making his interviewees uncomfortable; but Miss Wray still shines.

Fay Wray the most sexiest starlet actress of Hollywood ALL-TIME ! - the 1st & the best. Wogan's interview bit muddled & messy. Fay made some fine movies & television but always remembered only for King Kong. She was the BEST .

The women of the silent and early B&W era were way underpaid, but they were strong and strong willed. I hand it to the Faye Wray's of the world. Watch the wonderful interview with Barbara Moore on BBC conducted by Lorraine Bowen...Barbara shows it continues to this day...being under estimated. Great interview.

Faye Wray is one classy woman for continuing to sit there and finish this interview after this fool said her name is silly. That was so rude and unprofessional of him, and obviously, he was the silly one to even say such a thing.
