Another lovely road. I spotted a lot of those circular stone sheep enclosures last year when I was riding between the borders and Glasgow / Edinburgh. I'd never seen them before. Apparently they can also be found in Northumbria. I can't wait to get back up to Scotland this year.

I need to ride that road when I'm up there again. 👍

Great countryside and roads for exploring JDHMcL, I have walked that ridge a long time ago from Auchengruith to Wanlockhead, it was great to see those views again. The sheepfold at Mennock Pass: they were built to protect mainly sheep but sometimes cattle from winter storms, they have a very narrow opening to help protect from the wind and high surrounding walls. That's certainly a corker of a road and who knew the GS 310 and the CB 500 F could get there and back so quickly 🤔😯😂
