Oh my goodness, you’re the first curly girl I’ve seen to NOT bash silicones and not make me feel guilty for needing them! I’ve used silicones my whole life but I’ve been trying to be silicone free for about a year because that’s what I heard from everybody else, but my hair has just been worse without it. I did the same and ended up going back to my tried and true Aussie Moist conditioner especially as a cowash/detangler midweek, besides using silicone free conditioner for wash day!! But you have to find what works for you!! Over the years through trial and error, I've learned what works for me and my hair has been growing!! And following curly girls who not only test the products on themselves, but especially, do research to back it up and the proof by their hair's health overall!! Along with trusting Cheli, I also trust @themestizamuse and @curlyproverbz.

First of all, a big CONGRATULATIONS, girl!! May God bless your marriage ALWAYS! After watching my very first of your videos about a year and a half(?) ago, I fell in love with your curls! My kids all grown, I could dedicate the time I needed to experiment with my own hair. So, at the ripe ol' age of 53, I discovered how beautiful my curls could be with the proper care and attention. You're awesome ❤ We were blessed with our 6th grandchild, so between helping my daughter out of the hospital, my part time job, my painting hobby, managing my own chores around the house, helping care for our little newborn bundle while mom works, plus reserving enough energy for my wonderful hubby, my hair took a seat on the back burner. Lately, I'veI been caring for my hair as quickly as possible and without fussing to much over it. I forgot to dedicate the TLC it requires 😑.. Eight months later, my hair is still curly but it's getting dull and dry and breaking... it's actually starting to look a lot like it did before I decided to go on this journey with you. So, I thank you for once again inspiring me to do something with this hair! And, I'm only just the grandmother.. I care for baby minimally (oh, and I raise and homeschool my grandson too). A lot on my plate, I know, but I had it all under control at one point. What I am I trying to say here is that having a new baby will turn your life into one big challenge -which, rewarding as they may be, babies are still one big challenge -even on a weekly part time basis. If I may, my suggestion is that you pick up (another) hobby (if only temporarily) and see if youatte able to dedicate round the clock time and attention to your new hobby even when you don't want to. If you feel overwhelmed or your hobby (or any aspect of your life), takes a seat on the back burner for too long, then leave the hobby... and with it, any fleeting thoughts of newborns in your near future. I'm not trying to meddle... just trying to keep it real using my own life experience(s) as an example -because I care. I wish someone would've done the same for me. You may be hella-great at managing your time without burning yourself out and that's great. If that's the case, I offer a thousand apologies for my intrusion. Take care, girl. LOVE this video! I can't wait for your life update video 🤩 I also learned a couple new tricks from this video. 1 use clips at the top of my hair while drying to get more volume and 2 spray oil on my comb when I fluff out my hair 🧡

OMG I was so impressed with your results I went out and bought this whole regimen! The 3 part OGX line & the lemongrass spray, I subbed the jelly u used for a Shea moisture wash & go Gel oil I already had. I applied in small sections much smaller then my typical half and half I usually do. I have been using the Denman brush but didn’t know to use it this way! It was amazing! Only thing I’d change for myself is creating a part. I like the way my hair sits in a part. Although I used to love the versatile flip whichever wherever look. Thank you!!! Ur curls are poppin & now mine are too 🤩🤩

sis I'd love to see you review and demo the TPH hair care line... I know some people have reviewed the line and a majority of the reviews haven't been kind. I recently received my order of TPH because I had to get my cousin to get it for me because I couldn't order it in Canada. I personally love the line and I didn't find the scent of the products that bad. I watched a review BiancaRenee did and her hair turned out really good using the gel. Thanks for posting!

Hi Chelli! I’ve been watching you for a while now and I love your curls!!!! I’ve been transitioning for over 2years now and finally cut off all the relaxed ends. I’ve been trying to do wash and go’s but I feel like my curls don’t last once it’s dry. The curls look beautiful up to about 60% dry, after that it just gets frizzy and like a puff ball. Am I not using enough product? Or am I not applying the product on soaking wet hair? I need help! We have similar curl pattern 😩😭😭😭😭😭 i just rock my hair in low buns because I feel like I can’t wear it out. Thank you so much!!! 💕💕💕💕

I have learned that my hair responds well to silicones. My curls hold better (understandably so), the silicones provide crazy slip for detangling, & since it has been compared to a "plastic", I feel like my hair is being protected from the elements when I use silicones. I just have to make sure my hair is moisturized before using the silicone product.

I do believe that it's good to once in a while you can use silicone to clean the scalp and remove reciduos of other products

Everyone’s hair is different, we have similar hair texture and I used that OGX line and it is so drying on me, like the shampoo leaves my hair straw like and the conditioner barely does anything to restore the dryness!
