Hi darling. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for recommending me Untouchable. Carter was as twisted as he was fantastic. I forgave him because how much he worshiped the heroine. For me, he redeemed himself at the end. Loved him! I am currently reading twist me series and OMG, ok I agree with you it is DARK but I enjoy it so far. It's a hard no for me with Untouchable. I got through half the book when I just had to stop reading. I couldn't take it anymore. Carter violates Zoey and demeans her and her every reaction is "oh Carter is just being Carter. There's nothing I can do about it, oh well." Just because she's able to rationalized his behavior doesn't make their relationship any less toxic. If anything this makes the story even worse because she knows from the jump that she's dealing with a psychopath. She doesn't go in blind with him and then gets the script flipped on her later on. No. Zoey recognizes Carter's crazy during their first encounter. And what's weird is that she's able to compartmentalize her feelings and tuck them away only until she thinks Ericka knows what Carter did to her in that classroom and then all of a sudden the gravity of what happened to her that day, hits her and she's forced to see her relationship with Carter through someone else's eyes and recognizes there's no rational reason why she should be with this guy and yet she is. Throughout the book Zoey tries to psychoanalyze Carter. But all the while I'm reading, I keep wondering what the heck is wrong with her?

Thats fair enough. I think that part of Untouchable is that Zoey is a little twisted too, otherwise Darter wouldn't be as drawn to him and he wouldn't be so interested. From that first encounter where he assaults her, he sees how she handles the situation and his interest only grows. I'm not trying to make everyone love him or anything, but his brand of Psycho just works for me.

Oh my god you HAVE to read Truly by Carmel Rhodes!!! I read it after my re-read of Untouchable (I’m not a fan of Carter at all)and after I read about Noah,I was like Carter who? Oh my you will swoooon over Noah, he’s delicious. There was just something about this book I loved,it got me out of my reading rut and I already want to re-read it😩

I love your reviews and read two books last night from your dark romance list; Master by Kressely Cole which I loved.

I added so many of these to my TBR, not sure what that says about me as a person 🙈

It's my favorite historical romance though so I may be just a little bit biased. 😂 I would have to add MacRieve along with Lothaire. Both are so good in a bad boyfriend kind of way.

If Julian Esguerra didn't quite do it for you, may I suggest Dante Santiago? Catherine Wiltcher has some spin-offs, too, which extend the Santiago Trilogy into more of a series.

I wanna thank you so much for this video. I just wanna let people know. It's OK 100% to like ANY fictional character who is effed up. It's FICTION, it's your fantasy. It doesn't mean that you are a bad person irl AT ALL, ok?????? I am that kinda person who loves super effed up character, but I know that irl they wouldn't make good boyfriends. Well, it is very intense for the first 50 pages. But it helps me how the heroine is determined to figure him out and not remain helpless. Otherwise it would be completely too much.

There are a few book boyfriends who l enjoy reading about, but they are so demanding sexually, that if we did what they want every day, they will wear me out and increase my odds of getting Anal Cancer. Also, eye masks and light bondage may be fun, but getting hit with canes, belts or crops: NO. Basically, If you enter into a relationship with a kinky boyfriend, the sex has to go more vanilla on a daily basis, because there's not much time for daily high value productions every night.
