Love the way the finish of the game is designed! Finishes are unlikely to be anti-climatic 😊

You know what? At about the 43 minute mark when Mike takes the Embalmer, it would have been unambiguously better to take the Queen's Favor and use it immediately to claim the Embalmer and take another turn. He had a total of 36 locked and another 10 showing, so it was totally possible. And given the way the game ended, even a Herder gained from that extra turn could have pushed him over the edge to win it. I didn't notice the first time I watched back when I hadn't played the game myself... but maybe since I've played several times now and was only watching again because I like the game and was thinking about it, this time it stood out to me like a sore thumb.

This looks like a lot of fun! My only comment is that this looks like it plays into one of my pet peeves in gaming. When one person rolls their dice, everyone else starts telling them what they have and what they should go for. It appeared to happen on almost every turn. Part of the fun is the figuring out what to do and how to manipulate the dice, without everyone laying out all the different possibilities for you. Still looks like a lot of fun...but that part could be annoying for some.

Hey Lincoln...Just to be clear...I LOVE you guys! Just thought that could be a potential problem of the game. It always happens in my group when we play dice manipulation type of games.

I love the Bezier Games stuff, especially Ultimate Werewolf: Inquisition and One Night Ultimate Werewolf. I was on the fence about this game, but it looks great after seeing this. Thanks for playing it. Is Aaron still in the group? All of you guys crack me up, my favorite youtube group.

I thought this game would be really prone to analysis paralysis with all the options for manipulation but it played much smoother than expected

so if you have the herder and roll a 6 and lock it on the first roll, and lock a 6 on the second roll, THAT doesnt get you a extra dice?

Hey guys! Love the show. I have a question because i'm confused about something. at 35:06 when Lincoln made the 3 pairs, since they were 2 pairs of 4 and one pair of 2. Wouldn't the 2 pairs of 4 become one 4 four of a kind instead? Or is each pair defined by each roll despite the fact that they are the same number?

Looks like an dice-engine-builder with a pasted-on theme... practically all conversation was about the dice results and how to get more dice or ways to mitigate the result, the theme was only addressed when referring to the name of the card you wanted for its ability... there are other yahtzee-likes that I feel incorporate their themes better, like King of Tokyo. Though that can also easily be stripped of its theme...

Given it's a relatively simple dice game on its surface, it looks quite complicated given the rules overhead. I haven't played it, but I'd be concerned that it's complicated for complicated's sake rather than really contributing to compelling game play. Thoughts from people that have played it?

I don't know if this was mentioned in the rules explanation, but what happens if you end up with a set of locked dice that doesn't allow you to pick up any tiles? I'm talking about a case where the dice you end up with don't meet any tile requirements, or they do meet some requirement but you cannot draw those tiles because of not being allowed to have duplicates.

He mentioned the Herder in the rules explanation... that is the first line of defense for a bad roll. As with other tiles, you can't get a second one, though. What he didn't mention is that if you have a second bad roll and thus can't claim anything including the Herder, you end up getting two scarab tokens instead. I don't recall ever seeing that actually happen in a game, but I suspect that three would be a better consolation prize. You're already doing poorly, and you could get two tokens just by claiming a red tile... so I feel like three tokens would stand a better chance of leaving you in a position where you might be able to make a comeback if you get lucky enough from that point forward.

I don't understand why you bring the die with 1 when you already have rolled a 1. Only use it, if you didn't roll a 1 so that you can reroll. Generally don't use skills if you can lock something which you wanted anyway. The rules are simple but I think a lot don't understand it.
