Simon Hurley I can not live with out foam squares! I’m with you Simon, use all the foam squares on one card! But seriously, it’s hard to make a card with out adhesive. And I find it funny how many different kinds adhesives we card makers have!

Embossing products were my first love! I was so excited to learn recently that if you go fast enough, you can use regular ink pads to emboss!
Simon, I love your plans for the future! College will always be there if you want to do that. But build your business now, you are going to go far! And it’s okay to not like patterned paper, you do you! Can’t wait to see where you go! Rina you make me laugh and smile and are so real, thank you for sharing you and your creative process.
Who needs cable or satellite tv when we can watch such fun KZread stuff!!
I have so many craft products I couldn't craft without it's hard to determine which is the most worthy of your question. I applaud your cards, they are so sophisticated and beautiful. Rina, I love the color of your nails. (my fav color). I love mandalas too. I have your first mandala stamp kit and am anxiously awaiting your next. Love to both! Thanks for sharing.
Definitely need a stamping tool, like the Misti. Totally can't live without mine ♥️ you guys are great!
This is a bit off topic, but I always love how amazing Rina's nails look :D
I just LOVE watching you two create and talk together! Those two cards are beautiful! Paper trimmer, Scoring Board, Stick Tool (I call it a Pokey Tool,) HEAVY card-stock!
I watched Rina with the wreath maker and I bought a set. So fun to use! It is so versatile for any season. My favorite craft tool is my paper cutter. I bought a very sturdy office paper cutter. I don’t have to worry about changing the blades. It stays sharp and cuts perfectly every time. Thanks for chatting and answering all those questions. Looking forward to seeing more of Rina K. and Simon videos. You guys are the best!
The MISTI is a game changer for me. Stamping was very disappointing before she came into my life. A great die cutter is another must have for me. I loved my Cuttlebug after I got a magnetic mat for it but I truly adore my Gemini Jr for no struggle die cutting. Finally I must have anything shiny-glitter markers, shimmer powder, metallic markers and ink, perfect pearls, foil-you get the picture.
I loved this podcast and listening to your answers to everyone's questions! I really LOVE the cards you guys made! Great ink blending and both of your cards were great designs! Need my address? Haha, keep up the great podcast, it's super fun!

Agree Gina. I love watching these two as much as I love watching you. Had my coffee in hand...and relaxed watching these two great kids (well young adults), before starting my day. You know I have mentioned I always watch you in the very early AM with your great relaxing and soothing voice while I learn. This AM I saw their vid. I love their cards, and the QA. Looking forward to seeing more. I would love to travel to your store and join the teaching class. I'm sure you're a PROUD mama. Hugs to all from Summer in Mn.

This was the first I saw them together. Love!
I enjoy all the videos with both of you...and when you each work independently too...but the two of you together are the best! I need a great black ink...love Gina K Amalgam Black Ink. A great paper cutter and really good cardstock to stamp and color on.
Enjoy your videos sooooo much. My question is for Rena: I LOVE the Mandala Maker and would like to know if there are any plans in the future to come out with more shapes for it? It is sooooo diverse and I LOVE making cards with it. P. S. I LOVE your question and answer time. 💕
You two work so well together and are certainly relaxed and that makes your videos enjoyable. Funny at times, informative and entertaining. Thank to you both and Alicia in the background.
I love watching you two create cards side by side! It's so inspiring to see two different ideas at once. My must-have tool is the Misti. I used to get so frustrated trying to line up and re-stamp images that didn't stamp well the first time, and I tried every stamp aligning tool on the market. The Misti literally saved my sanity!! Plus, how could we make those beautiful Mandalas without one, right?
Love your videos Simon & Rina! PLEASE teach some classes together!! I would drive up from Chicago in a heartbeat to attend!!! It is a delight to see the next generation of stampers stepping up.... and doing an AMAZING job👍🏻👍🏻😍
What a joy to watch you two!! I absolutely adore the chemistry that you share...wonderful and creative cards! I couldn't live without my MISTI and a die cut machine...I have a Big Shot and Gemini Jr...There are so many wonderful products on the market now. I have been stamping for almost 20 years and I am amazed how this industry has grown. I, also, am loving all the collaboration between companies...the world needs so much more of that!! Love to you both...Keep the vids coming!!
A stamping platform is a must!!
Love watching you two together. Love the cards. Thanks.
BEAUTIFUL cards by beautiful people!

I love you two and can’t wait for more videos! I work in home health therapy and one of my 80 plus year old patient got me hooked on card making 😍although I have yet to actually make a card 😬 .. I can’t wait to get started and learn more from you two! 💓

Heather Werth that's great! You will love it! Such a fun, safe, and relaxing way to spend time! Oh, but it can get messy 😉 . Scrapbooking is also the best (you create, organize, and preserve your photos)! Welcome to this hobby! Ah, find a friend to join you, makes it even better !!!
I use my spellbinders platinum machine nearly every time I make a card. I’ve had several machines over the years, but this is my current favorite. It lets me emboss and die cut, two effects that I love.
Thank you SO much, Simon, for pronouncing "guillotine" correctly!!! That's a pet peeve of mine. One of my favorite tools is my fine-tip reverse tweezers. They're pointy enough that I can use them instead of a "stick tool" if I don't feel like getting it out, and they will hold things, like when I need to emboss, but don't want to burn my fingers.
Loved it ,you two are on an upward spiral and I love watching both of you,
Congratulations on graduating! Take it easy and enjoy yourself out of school. Rina, you are doing a great job. I enjoyed listening to the marketing updates and how your work is helping your schooling.
Rina, though you have your own style, this is the first time that I can see some similarity of your mom's design in this card! Beautiful! Love your videos. Love you too Simon! My must have tool is ALL! Seems that I need ALL. But if I must pick one, would be, good paper, scissors, and glue. Oh that's three. Lol! Put it this ways, I wouldn't know what to pick in case of a fire in my house!
Must have for me is definitely a stamping platform. I have 3 (!! 😱), 2 misti's (original and mini) and the Tim Holtz mini. @Rina: I am addicted to mandala's so everytime I see you make a mandala card my eyes pop, my hands start to itch and make me wanna make my own. Love the color combination on this one. I have a very busy full time job so I don't have a lot of time to sit and create but I mostly dedicate my weekends to let my creative fluids flow. So, this weekend I will get my mandala's stamps and stencils out and play 🥰
Does anyone else think these two would have adorable children!!!
I love watching you 2 together. It looks like you really have a good time and seem more comfortable together now compared to the 1st video. I think its neat that you live close enough now to be able to do this. Definitely 2 up and coming stars! With that being said... when's the product collab coming out? An idea I had was for Simon to create his characters and Rina to create backgrounds (like her waves for example) and some fun accessories for them. I think that would be super cute with endless possibilities! Its something you can really do year round for all seasons. Just an idea you can kick around 🤷♀️ But I really do like these videos. I would LOOOOOOOVE to go to Ms.Gina's store and "hang out" for the day and learn from her. I've been a StampTV subscriber since the very beginning and I adore her. Unfortunately, I'm a realist and I know that I wouldnt ever be able to go up there. It's on my bucket list though! Thanks for another great show and sorry for such a long comment. Hugs to you both :) PS - my "must have" product is scor-tape. I'm dying to try purple tape, but I haven't been able to get it yet. It's on my "wish list". I got one of Gina's thermoweb tape runners at Expo about 2 years ago (from the GinaK "booth") and I HOARD it because at this time in my life, I can't replace it. So although I absolutely LOVE it, I use it very sparingly!
Love these videos and Rina's neon inks, slowly collecting them.
Would love attending a class with both of you!
I think another must have in my crafty stash is 2 - 3 pairs of good scissors! A sharp pair of scissors makes fussy cutting so much easier. I also think having large scissors is great because it makes trimming excess paper off a large area in one cut supper easy. I really love your podcast and look forward to the next one. ^__^
The mysti stamp positioner has saved me so many times. Versatile black onyx ink for crisp stamping that I can color in. Love your products!
Love listening to the two of you!
Hi Rina and Simon love watching the two of you together, I have the mandala maker gel stamps and wreath maker and also Simons caroller gel stamps have just arrived. keep doing the blogs and keep expanding your lines
I"m glad someone was brave enough to ask about James!
Fun video. Love both cards.
Thanks for the video, I really like the discovery of how you are progressing in business and love learning all the stuff that makes you, YOU!
Thank you for your joint videos! I really enjoy them and look forward to them!
A class with the two of you!!! I’ll drive up in a minute for that!!! Your Alabama fan!!!
Great video ~ I enjoy watching you two together!! Keep up the great work.
LOVE these videos!! My MISTI is my MUST have, definitely!!
You guys are great. Nice cards!! 😀
I love the cards you both made. I think my go to tools are a good trimmer, a good black ink, adhesive and my stamp positioner.
I really enjoy the interaction with each other and both your cards were great! I think that a pokey tool is one of the most needed tools in my arsenal along with a good paper trimmer. I looked at the Tim Holtz trimmer but I’m a rotary blade person so I got the Fiskars Procision Rotary Bypass trimmer with self sharpening blade and I love it! Good ink, good card stock, a set of stamps and a good imagination is also needed.
Really great podcast today y'all!!! I would have to say that the thing I need most in my craft room is various adhesives/glues. Adhesive runners, 2 way glue, matte medium, etc.
Hey guys! I couldn’t be without my Misti. Great Video!
When I was starting with card making, embossing folders and a die cut machine were important. Now I use inkblending or background stamps or stencils to make my backgrounds, but when I was starting out, embossing folders were an easy way to make a background layer. (I still use them, but not as much). Also my Misti and a GOOD heat gun are important
you are both awesome!
Love the post it on the screen.
You two are soooo cute! Love those background stamps, Simon. :)
Fun videos, right now I am thoroughly enjoying the Simon Hurley inks hope there will be more coming soon. The re inkers are great for making backgrounds on my Gel plate. Stencils are inexpensive and fun to use, so I have a large collection.
A misti! Love my misti.
Whichever way you express your creativity, use the best quality of materials you can afford. ✂️🖌🖍✏️✒️📒🏷
My Misti because I have tremors in one hand which was making stamping hard. Love you two you make my day! 😉 💕💕
Tools I must had are a heat tool, little Misty and the large Misti! Keep doing videos!
My most essential tool is a trimmer. My most favorite tool is the inks. Enjoyed this video immensely. Take Care. ~Barbara
Each card I use misti, guillotine and Copic , and go from there. Your pod cast are great fun
One of my most important products is my MISTI. I hardly ever do stamping without it, especially if I need to line something up exactly. I also agree about the Tonic guillotine trimmer (and thank you for pronouncing it correctly!). I do have a Fiskars deluxe trimmer for certain occasions, like cutting an aperture in the middle of my paper. But for general cutting, my guillotine is the way to go! I love how your cards came out. And thank you both for the laughs, too. My depression is somewhat worse today, & I can use all the giggles I can get. Hope y'all had a great Thanksgiving, & have an awesome day! :)
Love the cards. Rina, adore your nails. Simon, you do you; college is what you're doing now, in real life. Craftwise - i need pretty colors (inks/markers) and time.
Another fabulous podcast!!! I love your fun banter back and forth and congrats to you on graduating Simon!! Not sure WHERE you are taking questions but I do have to ask-do you have friends that like to craft with you that are your age? I have crafted since I was 6? and the thing that always saddens me is I don't have friends that live around me that craft. I would have loved to have others to craft with at your age. Do do other crafts, besides designing? What are they? I will try ANY kind of crafting too-not just paper crafts!! I just love to have a creative outlet!!
Cannot live without my sand eraser. goodbye to many mistakes.
You two crack me up! 🤪 Love watching you two. Simon, I’m kind of a little upset about the ‘not going to college’ thing, but I get it and you’re right, you can always go back. (Just don’t wait till you’re 40 cuz it sucks, trust me). Rina, I hate to say it, but I never thought James was the one anyway. Sorry. And lastly, I wanna go to a class in Greendale. Yay! Theses podcasts are super fun to watch and listen to. Thanks for spending your time with us! Keep up the great work!
I agree with you, Simon, invest in a good trimmer. I have a big guillotine one by swingline, two medium fiskars, and a small guillotine by tonic. Good quality card stock along with good quality stamps and inks.
Great video. Thanks. Would love to attend a class in Greenville - in the summer only 😀
Hi Guys, Your blue nails honey are driving me crazy. Love the cards 😁😁😁😁
Two tools I think are essential and I wish I had gotten first before trying other similar tools- because I wasn't willing to spend the money- The Misty Stamp tool and the guillotine cutter. I would have saved a lot of money in the long run if I had gotten straight off. I also do a lot of die cutting and use the Vagabond cutter. I am not super strong so hand powered tools don't work well for me.
Simon enjoyed this and you are a great teacher. I have watched and signed up for your classes at Scrapbook.com
Great scissors and the perfect adhesive are also essential tools! I totally enjoy watching you two!! Your cards turned out great. What is the sentiment stamp set you used? ❤️
Black ink and heavy weight cardstock are the most essential craft supplies.
Women cardmakers struggle so much with "masculine" cards and generally stick with shades of brown and navy. I am so happy that you take on the bright colors and even use florals! *gasp* ;)
My most used tools: Misti stamping platform because I can’t get a clear image without it (I’m evidently stamping challenged) and my paper trimmer.
I love watching you guys! Y’all are so inspirational. I make crafty videos too! I just started my KZread channel ☺️
oooooooooo, you picked a question from my friend Janie!!!! You really need to go over to her past two videos to see what she is doing with GinaK's Glitz Glitter Gel. You will swoon!
Paper trimmer, I’ve gone through too many count! If my card base isn’t straight everything else will be off.
What is the shaving cream technique? Love your videos!
Perfect video for our Minnesota snowy day!

How about at junkie fest next year.
Hi! Love Your Video's! I'm trying to figure out what Color Markers work best? Also what Brand of Water Color Pensil works best for coloring detailed image's??? Also to do the "inside" of the Card, what weight of paper should I use? I'd rather not put the inside sentiment directly on the Card base. Thanks in advance for your help! You two are great together! Love from California 💙💜🙋 I'm obviously New to Card Making and don't yet know what I would consider as a tool, I couldn't do without. I do love My Stampratus from Stamping Up but, may change to the Misti. It's larger. 😆
For me, I think good inks are important.
Good scissors. Simon are you from the Falls?
Gamsol!
Stamp platform
Geez Rina how do you work with them nails?? Finger daubers go on the finger, lol!! I couldn't live without my fine point tweezers.
Awesome job. You guys should collaborate on a product.
I think I've put together that Rina lives in the Milwaukee area. Simon, do you live nearby or do you swing by on your travels and record videos???
Not sexy, however, I use my nonstick reverse tweezers & t-square ruler all the time.
Hi guys! Did you ever worry about your college friends/ social media friends judging you for your love of crafting while in college? If so, how did you stop worrying about them and just post about the things you like/ make?
My goodness Simon, Did you put enough squares on the back of the design? HA
Sorry Rina, nothing is ever gone from the internet. Lol
Hands free tweezers
Simon... craft foam so you don’t need to use so many dimensional. 😉
