I did notice a rookie mistake right at the beginning - DON'T cut the backing off - Just peel it off and fold it back - Put a crease into it and when you turn it over, the crease will act as a buffer so that the peeled off part will not stick to the table top until you put pressure on it. This way you can lay your sticker down, straighten it and when you are happy with the positioning, then apply pressure to the sticky part and work accross the length of it. Once this is done you can reach underneath the sticker and slowly pull the tab you have made by creasing the backing paper. Smooth it off as you pull the backing a little at a time. Hope I have made sence. Apart from that... well done on a good first effort. We all start not knowing what to do but with practice it gets easier and you learn easier ways to do it. I have been applying vinyl (and plastic) stickers to things for over 30 years and now just use my hands instead of a squeegee as there is less chance to damage the sticker with just a hand instead of sharp plastic. If you are carefull you will not get any air bubbles either. Just use a sweeping motion of your hand from one side to the other as you go, applying light pressure.

You could've use a hair dryer for the edges, the heat will allow you to stretch and pull the adhesive to mold to the shape of the corners.

I am so glad you made this video. It has been along time since I used peel and stick vinyl. You reminded me of a few things I had forgotten. Also, the cloth over the squeegee is really smart and the heat is great idea. I can't wait to do KY desk!!

For the bottom edge, heat it just a tiny bit and pull to stretch it. It will get rid of the bubble. Too much heat makes it worse.

This was perfect as a vanity desk for me. kzread.infoUgkxMAlHv7-BBWMrPRm5-uEoD6rtdT7SG2Qr Especially the glossy finish. Easy to cleanI was looking for something that wasn't the traditional white and with more of a modern feel. This fit the bill beautifully. I put it together with no problems, by myself in under an hour.Make sure you double check where you place the drawer tracks before screwing down. I had one track that needed to be aligned with different holes than the rest.
