A lot of people are commenting on music volume. At the last minute I asked Adonis to make a change to the music on the video that he had edited. He wasn’t somewhere with easy access to his editing suite or fast internet so it was quite a challenge. When I reviewed it I realised that there were just a couple of places where there was some slightly inaudible dialogue but that it wasn’t terribly important what was being said. If I’d asked Adonis to change it again then the video would have potentially been delayed by days, and we’re trying to make sure we get them out every week at approximately the same time, in order to build the channel. At some point we have to not be perfectionists, and with every export and upload of the video taking between 5 and 20 hours it’s a significant undertaking to do make changes during the joint editing between myself and Adonis when he’s not staying with us. With apologies to those who couldn’t hear word, I realise that this must be frustrating. Please remember that we’re not a tv production company, that we’re actually paying somebody (Adonis) to film and edit our episodes because we’re unable to do it ourselves, and that we’re providing this all completely free of charge to the public even though we sometimes don’t even get enough revenue to cover the costs. Our glorious, gracious Patreons sustain us and allow all of you to see what we do here, otherwise we would not be able to afford to film and produce episodes due to our other commitments (notably two very active kids of 1 and 3).

Thanks for the lengthy explanation about how much time and work and money it takes to make your videos, Amy, and reminding your viewers that unless they are one of your Patreons, they are watching your lovely videos absolutely free. I truly appreciate everything you guys do!

The video is fine. Really!❤ If there are a few bumps along the way, I dare say most of us are still watching and it’s ok. You have the best opening of about a half dozen chateau channels I’ve seen. Love the music you pair up with your content. Try not to point stuff out....we may never notice. 😉

I love everything you do and have been watching from the very beginning. I can’t afford to be a patron but I do watch all the ads and like every one. I know that helps some. I will give you the same advice I gave my theatre student all those years. If you mess up, just keep on going as if nothing happened and then your audience may not even see the issue or hear in this case. I always love the music you guys choose! And just love Marc’s building skills. Love you guys and your precious kiddos!
A good trick to figuring out what the paint color actually looks like is to put a large piece of white paper next to the sample. You’ll be able to see all the variations of colors. So glad you haven’t left us!!
your two children are absolutely ADORABLE ! i love the introduction, Clement on piano and Juliette in the cart. Best wishes with your restoration progress.

What a FANCY light you have in the barn where Marc got the wood! WOW! It pays to have the right equipment, know what you're doing & to be accurate! I was impressed with how Marc cut the boards on the wall down (about 20:52)! Perfect job, Team M&A!!!! 👍
You’ve probably already painted your room by now but Green Smoke by Farrow and Ball would look AMAZING with your terra cotta colored floor tiles. Definitely a color to consider in the future. Great videos! Squeeze those kids tight for me. ❤️

I always enjoy your content guys, keep up the great work. 💯💯💯
I always laugh at the chicken following Marc in the digger in your intro. Hilarious. I really enjoy seeing your progress on the coach house and am glad you are back. Thank you for the video!
Marc is so cheeky! “Team Work Makes the Dream Work!” 🤦🏻♀️😂😂😂💙💙💙
Always nice to see a vlog from you. You have made great progress in the carriage house. You will be in by next winter!
So happy that your family is back on utube!
The chestnut capping for your paneling is beautiful. What a joy to see the bedroom coming together! We've got a plank as our wainscoting cap, with pegs for coats and scarves every 15 cm or so - one of the best ideas we ever implemented.
I love your videos and the fun that is always around and between you is very touching - even in the most stressful jobs. Thank you for sharing your renovation progress with us.

You are doing such a fantastic job on the coach home. The stonework, wood work, paneling and everything is stunning. I’m so happy to hear that it’s warm in there. It will be a wonderful home for you and the children while you renovate the chateau. Love your videos. Hug those sweet children!!! xx
Hello Amy and Marc. Your coach house is looking amazing so far. I am very very happy for you that you got your heating installed. Living in there will be so much comfortable for the whole family 🥰 Marc appeared to be suffering from ‘cabin fever’. It seems his usual cheeky smile was missing because he is itching to get outside (as are we all)😉. Wishing you all the best❤️
TEAMWORK IS DREAM WORK 💜 I LOVE IT. IT LOOKS GOOD. WELL DONE MARK AND AMY.
that is going to be such a beautiful room when its finished
Hello Amy and Marc, the quality of your videos has gone up a notch! I’m enjoying the camera work and the image and audio quality very much and wanted to let you guys know, whatever you’re doing is working! I enjoy watching you two work it out, the way you calibrate and support each other in your frustrations is lovely to see. So much of this kind of stuff/tension is cut out of productions, but essentially that’s what it takes to shoulder such a monumental project. I’m sending all the good vibes your way! Greetings from Germany

Thank you for another great video. I always feel like I'm on vacation when I watch your videos.
Good thing you have youth, patience and love going for the two of you - time for date night if you're not too exhausted. The panel looks amazing.

Great job on the panelling! It will be beautiful when it is painted. One of my favorite things is choosing paint colors. I definitely use large samples in the room at different times of the day and in different weather conditions. You are getting so close to finishing 🎉❤
Always a plesure watching you two work together.
The wood paneled wall looks great! Well done. Blessings.
Awesome job. You made it work. You have made such great progress. Hang in there.
You guys are awesome!! Thank you for sharing your journey with us!
It looks so good…….my husband loves being outside too…..but he just finished one of our bathrooms and I am proud of him too❣️
A multi tool would have sorted that board around the corner in a minute or so. Looking amazing!
Thank you for filming the process! It looks beautiful! ❤
The wall looks beautiful! I don't think either of you will regret the time and attention you've given it. That color selection is a difficulty! I generally love sage green. But a gray somewhere in the middle would be lovely to see too. Don't worry about the little music thing -- it's a tiny matter, and doesn't effect the enjoyment of this video. :)
Great job on the paneling Marc. Such a pretty drive on the way to the saw mill. Amy and Juliet are so cute together. Thanks for sharing ❤❤❤
Fantastic work, both of you. I can't wait to see what color the paneling and plaster you end up with. Keep up the good work!
So happy to see you again & the progress in the coach house. I missed you both & your beautiful children! Welcome back! ❤

Can't wait to see what color you go with, Amy! ♥
Great job! The paneling looks great. You were right about the plank at the top just being the finishing touch. Good work, guys! The expensive paint color I liked best🤫
I am 88 I am at my favorite number today !!! In Comments and you’re my favorite Château program. Heat is a big deal in a chateau your both very hard workers things are looking beautiful . I absolutely admire your abilities to handle a project of this magnitude. Very well done ! 🍁🇬🇧🍁 for what it’s worth I like the LeBron paint it was outstanding for that bath in my humble opinion.

Such a joy to see you back! I know this is catch-up from last fall. Anxiously awaiting seeing the garden. There's a lot going on there.

I'm glad you popped up.youtube was becoming boring.you cheered it up.
Like raising kids remodeling takes as much patience and the work is brillant
Panelling really does finish a room, great job guys, it’s a long boring job but well worth the efforts xx
Remember to seal the planks before you paint them to avoid the twigs shining through!

That top trim piece really makes the paneling pop!! Good job, Marc and Amy!!! I love designing and building stuff. If I wasnt in the middle of America, I'd be tempted to make a visit, to 'help' you have 'fun'!!!!! So, so glad to see you back on KZread! I've missed seeing your lovely family - the only one I can imagine with a chandelier lighting the barn. 🙃 Hoping you are all feeling much better and have been able to get some much-needed rest over the past months. 🤗 I don't care how it's edited; you're not Spielberg, and this isn't The Sound of Music. I enjoy seeing through your eyes, and being able to vicariously enjoy your historic structures and landscape. P.S. I am enjoying soft yellows and ashy greens a lot these days. They are perky in winter and bright in summer. Whatever you choose will be perfect!

great to see you back; thanks for the vlog xx
Okay so maybe you already addressed this, but I thought you weren’t going to put the chair railing(top board) on, until you had put the colored plaster on the walls? Maybe I missed something? By the way, Your doing a fantastic job !!! Don’t worry about the Debbie Downers, we love what you are doing ! Also, your doing it for free for us, and paying for someone else to help with the video side of things, too!
Paint seems to be a problem in France. My local Brico has white base and tubes of primary colours which you mix (hopefully) to make..something. I met someone with an historic house who said he got paint from Germany. In America there are historic colours for people restoring old houses, but in France I will have to put up with white. Dulux is English, I guess there are better colours, but historical colours don't seem to be a priority even for them.
sage green is a calming colour and would help in the room

Well done both of you, the wood panelling looks great. I like all the colours and wonder which one you will choose, personally I like the last one you tried from the posh tin. The countryside views when you were driving were beautiful. 💕🇦🇺

The panelling looks really good Marc well done😘 Mmmh what colour to go for. I am sure what ever colour you choose will parfait Amy😘
Fantastic job Marc. It's going to look amazing. I love the Liberian colour for the bathroom. Farrow & Ball Green Smoke is quite dark but maybe that's the look you want. They have similar but lighter colours i.e. Card Room Green....
Good job on the paneling! I would stain it because it’s so pretty but it will look pretty no matter the color.
