I’ll be 80 next month if God grants me more time & I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, but I did not grow up with music in our home. I was still in grade school, about the 5th or 6th grade, about 11 or 12 & I was at my a friend’s house. They kept their radio playing all the time. When I first heard Blueberry Hill by Fats Domino I knew it was different & I loved him & his music. We’ll probably never see the likes of him & Ray Charles ever again. So glad I got to listen to this concert. Thank you KZread!!

ANN ADAMS - love that you’re loving this too! I’m a sweet old fashioned gal (79), originally from Paisley, Scotland, but living in Toronto, Canada since 1967. This music keeps you active, rocking, and young minded. Went to see Boy George in Toronto two years ago. Fabulous, unforgettable night. Audience all ages, all races, all colours. No racist crap there!

Yes, that's true. He was a very modest and low key guy too (when not playing / performing) but his city, New Orleans, always recognised his contribution to music and how he was one of those who put New Orleans on the musical map, along other greats from that city (Jelly Roll Morton, Louis Armstrong, Professor Longhair, Allen Toussaint, Dr. John and so, so many others).
