*Fatima al fihri was a was born in tunisia, kairoan she lived in prifiliged house. her dad moved to morroco (fez) with her and her sister. fatima build masjid and university of al-qaraqiyyin from the money that she inherited. the largest mosque and university in south africa. her university also the first degree-granting university in the world. they have islamic studies, astronomy, philosophy. the university had graduated ibn khaldun, ibn rhusd and not only muslim but also non muslim pope sylvester II. this pope introduce arabic numerals to europe. fatima actually enrolled herself to her university at age 59 (never too old to learn). qarawiyyin is the most ancient uni and still operating untill this day and the mosque is the ancient one too and also qarawiyying's libraries.

I Heard that she fasted the whole period of the construction of the mosque
